you can try linkmotion or mach3 if your machines have steppers, i have converted several machines with damaged controllers or useless software to LM and mach3 and if you can controll power and speed...

there is one setting on laser cut INI file that relates to the lase power ouput percentage vs PWM frequency, you will need a laser power meter and a PWM frequency generator to correctly calibrate...

whenever you stop cutting dont cut the coolant flow for at least 30 minutes or so, or you get the chanse of deforming the inside of the tube cavity causing the ring shape.

weird, i had the same problem before but with Solustan Software,
the problem is the polarity that the motor driver is expecting on pulses, you are loosing 1 step per each direction change.

i will be happy to asist you if you run into problems, the worst case is that you get a broken tube (very unlikly) or that the mirrors are not alligned (Very likely).

check the tension on your belts and that the pulleys ar tight.
this has happened before to me.
