Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

Yeah, there may be some slack in terms (remember that it's a non-commercial project done by enthusiasts!).
I don't really know about middle unused AXIS switch position (and couldn't find an answer...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

I'm pretty sure "neutral" here means "manual" sub-mode (some inconsistency in terms?), nether "external" nor "internal".

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

    Hi Qtron,

Don't know, guess depends on the diameter, pitch, material etc. I see that most people are using 1000+ PPR so that may say something.

This "External, Internal, Manual" switch sets...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

See some text of the PCB translated to English (attached).

So, as far as I understand, if your encoder outputs square wave signal you don't solder any circuits in that area of the PCB (no LM2903...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

    Hi Qtron,
Right, there is no diagram for the shield PCB specifically, but there is that diagram which shows how Mega is connected to external components (buttons, LEDs, resistors etc.) and from...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

!_ELS_V7.jpg image in the firmware archive contains schematic which must be a 100% match with the shield PCB (not sure about the encoder part though). So you can match Arduino pins to the shield pins...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

TBH I did not understand some parts of that text by myself. But lite version is definitely missing asynchronous feed.
As far as I understand it's much better to just use full version (better...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

As Bruce said, RGI stands for "Manual Encoder" (well done Bruce!).

BTW I don't know proper English terms for 2 kind of feeds:
    1) when carriage feed is tied to spindle rotation speed (like...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

I think "without the shield" means without any IO pins connected.

I think post #548 talks about version 7a_lite - are you interested in Lite version? anyway, here it goes:

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

    About flashing v7 & v7a_lite, from https://www.chipmaker.ru/topic/118083/?page=22 :

So I get that when switching between v7 and older versions you must detach the shield, flash different...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

    Hi Bruce, OK

I read somewhere that both of them work fine but Nikolai's may be better designed - I don't know details (one have to read through many pages for that knowledge).

    There...

Re: Russian Arduino Lead Screw Project??

    Hi guys,
I speak Russian and I *may* be able to help you with some language-specific issues (like talking to chipmaker.ru moderators or translating some parts of the spec etc.).
    I'm not very deep...
