Thanks for the links, I use OneCNC and have Fusion 360 so I could use the post processor for Fusion.
I assume this link http://home.lewiscounty.com/~forhire/posts/ is the Fusion 360 posts?

I'm trying to see if my Discovery 308 with DX32 Control will thread mill. I found G12/13 in the manual but the first line has me confused a mite. It says to do a polar move to the start G0/1 A_ I_...
Then you don't want the Axis GUI do you... you simply change one word in the ini file to select from other GUI's.

LinuxCNC does what it is told to do by the G code. Look near the line of code where you hit the estop for a Z move.

Marek,
You will get much better replies on the LinuxCNC forum with thousands of users to assist you.
It helps a lot to state the version your using, what you did, what you expected and what you...
Are you using the estop_latch component as described here LinuxCNC: External E-Stop (1/1)

Stepper drive timings for many drives are on the LinuxCNC wiki.

You are a little short on power it looks like but that should only limit you...
Well we tried using gmail as a sendto but it throttled the mail to a point that made the forum useless to use so we had to change it back. For now just get a gmail account to sign up with.

The power saving "features" in most laptops make them unsuitable for real time control.
JT
Even better than that we "think" we found a work around for hotmail and other ms mail servers, we are sending outgoing via gmail now. Anyone with a hotmail want to test?
JT
Well it didn't take, so I changed it to password and now I can log on as you.
JT
We think we got to the bottom of this and "think" we have it all sorted out now.
JT
Yep, I had to change it to test a login. Use the password password to log in then change it.
JT
It looks like microsoft hotmail, outlook, t-online.de and a few others block emails from linuxcnc.org.
JT
You have been confirmed manually.
JT
Now you should be good to go.
JT
I missed a step, in the process of testing your account I had to change your password to password to test logging in. Your good to go for sure now and be sure and change your password.

The Mesa 7i76E is an ethernet card for steppers.
JT
Perhaps you forgot the password you used, I assume your Peter M from the UK with the user name midyo? That account is enabled and activated. I can reset your password if need be.
JT
You will get a much better reply on the LinuxCNC forum. In any case can you be more specific? What input and the exact sequences you expect.
JT
For some reason hotmail blocks emails from linuxcnc.org to new registrations on the forum. If you don't get the conformation email and your registered on this forum let me know and I'll fix it for...
You are good to go as well! Dang hotmail on all three...
JT
Your also good to go!
JT
You are good to go!

The stepconf wizard is for basic configurations only. To add this you need to edit the hal file and connect halui.program.step to your input.
JT
Are you viewing the actual position or the commanded position?
JT
Ethernet cards rely on RT-Preempt and LinuxCNC-uspace. I don't see that option in Pncconf.
