    Re: Okuma servo motor

You could check with the seller and confirm they have the same motor connector configuration

    Re: Okuma servo motor

What is the source of these motors you quote, ??

"replace original motor with bl-ms125e-60tna or bl-ms125e-30t motors"

    Re: Okuma servo motor

What is the price of the motor?
Might be worth at least a try, they can't be that far apart.

    Re: Breakout board advise please

Not sure why it would not work, the C10 can be set for sink or source inputs, did you have these right?
Can you post a diagram of sorts?
  8. Re: Le royaume Mach3 plugin for Huanyang VFD

Is it a standard motor or a HS 400Hz spindle version?
  9. Re: Recommended Safety Switch for Mini Mill

For NEC/CEC A disconnect separate to the main enclosure is allowed for machines with motors totaling 2HP or less, as long as it is within 20ft of the operator and within sight.
  10. Re: Attempting to etch my own PCBs... accuracy problems

With the exceedingly cheap price of having them made with all kinds of features, cheap, is it really worth it?
PCBWAY cost me $2.00 for 10x 100mm x 100mm boards, doubles died with vias.
  11. Re: Le royaume Mach3 plugin for Huanyang VFD

Sounds like either of the units could be at fault, you would need to try them separately.
Either with a 'scope or by substitution
  12. Re: VFD to run a air compressor. Proper hookup

Agree with Jim on all counts.
BTW, the HS spindle motors are also 2 pole 3ph asynchronous motors, 24krpm on 400Hz.
They have to be ran typically at >6krpm due to possessing very low inductive...

    Re: WTB limit switch

Actually if going into a typical opto input, the two wire typically works and no need for wire NPN/PNP distinction as they work for sink or source inputs.

    Re: WTB limit switch

Hopefully the 3 wire version, not the two wire !.

Re: FANUC Motor pulse generator question

For a quadrature encoder, you should have two square waves 90° apart A & B , you should also have their complements. /A & /B.

Re: FANUC Motor pulse generator question

By pulse generator, I assume you mean encoder?
Pulse generators are generally the term used for them in hand-wheels.
That appears to be a standard quadrature encoder, not the typical Fanuc encoder...

Re: High quality hand wheel? Buttons?

Handwheels are generally simple ~100p/rev incremental encoders. You require one to match your input, generally they are 5v RS485 output standard.
I always used the Telemecanique style PB's, They...

  21. Re: HuanYang With 2.2Kw Air cooled spindle - how do I get a zero speed signal from it

One note on the warning not to use two wire sensors would not apply in this case as a the Opto transistor outputs sink enough current, it applies to the 2 wire Prox type/versions.
    The Huanyang...
  22. Re: HuanYang With 2.2Kw Air cooled spindle - how do I get a zero speed signal from it

It is too bad the transistor outputs have their commons connected, if each were brought out separately, they could be used in a sink or source manner.
  23. Re: HuanYang With 2.2Kw Air cooled spindle - how do I get a zero speed signal from it

The solid state outputs are just as easy to use, as long as the load is less than 24vdc @ 100ma, they are opto-isolated transistor sink, the At Zero Speed function is the one to use, it varies with...

Re: axis creeps in MPG mode - Galil card

Karl mentions just A & B channels as in my experience that is what most MPG's have, I would also decouple the 5v supply with a ~10µf capacitor at the MPG, could be picking up some pulses from noisy...

Re: pokeys57cnc and mc60 motor controller

Odd? The MC60 has built in current monitoring and motor control.
In the T.M. application it generally uses a breaker.
