You may not want to go to this extreme, but this is what I did to my K6100A.

Set you scan gap to 0.170 and try that. That is roughly 150 DPI.

If you make changes to the machine settings in LaserCut, they won't take affect unless you re-download the config file to the laser. You should hear a beep after a successful download to the machine.

In LaserCut you change the DPI by changing the "Scan Gap" setting when you select "Engrave". If you search this forum for "Scan Gap", there have been several charts posted that convert different DPI...
