Thanks for the response! I'm pretty sure the cables are ok. Also, I have since discovered, it will suddenly change directions indiscriminately. Also I am still using Mach3.

I have a 770 pcnc, it has been used very little. I turned on the spindle today and it changed directions all by it self. Nothing I do will reverse directions. Not even the manual control panel will...
How about I get you guys back on topic. Ian, since you were one of the first to receive a Skyfire mill, what have you been able to create on it? I really haven't heard too many of the owners report...
You guys do realize handlewanker will argue his point to his dying breath whether right or wrong. I can't believe Haas and Skyfire are even used in the same sentence or even occupy the brain at the...
No, I bought one of these little cheap units. So far I really like it. However, I do use the keyboard button when I am moving less than a couple thousands. I have a Tormach and they have the...
The same seller has this one for sale: ...
Oh man, I think I had nightmares about your mill sitting on the garage floor under water. Very relieved to hear it survived.
Then let us know what you find out!
This all took me about 10 minutes.
Did a search for cambam stick fonts, download, unzip and install.
Went into drawing program (I use Corel Draw) type out letters.
Export as dxf file. Make sure...
I hear you can get an "optimized" mechanical PDB! Hahahahaha

And so it begins, The noise shows up and you all take the bait and fertilize the troll! Haha
All I know about exotic woods is what a friend told me many years ago as he was getting into knife making. He said "Steve, whatever you do, don't do an internet search for exotic woods!" Hahaha...

Just kinda curious, has everyone that ordered skyfire machines received them?
Not sure if it would work in your case, but I import dxf files from Corel into Vectric Cut2d and the dimensions are perfect.
I recently purchased a used manual sinker (Pacific Controls 30.) The manual is a little on the chinglish side and minimal on information. I did manage to get the thing to work but am a bit clueless...
I too was concerned about the resolution capability's of the 770. No one was doing what I wanted to do (small engraving) So I just bought the machine kind of blindly. I figured I would make someone...
Was this code you wrote or is it from a cam program? If a cam which one?
It would sure be kinda nice to see some Skyfire machines on this thread and maybe even hear from Defang. I would like to know how his biz is doing.
Just curious, what did you end up doing? Did you buy an edm machine?
Dude! It is what it is. If you don't like it, modify it or buy something else!!!! We were all hoping it was going to be a more accurate machine but guess what, Its not!
I believe watchmakers, jewelers, etc shop a different class of machine such as the Minitech or better.
The lack of posts from those who have received machines, has me wondering if the Skyfire machine is not living up to expectations.
Roger, I'm just yankin your chain a little. I know exactly what you mean. It seams like all I do is clean and straighten up. I am surprised I get anything else done. However, there are three...
