crashing SW today.........................
So today it is not crashing when this happens. Usually when I click on the OK button within the error dialogue it crashes SW. Today it is deciding that even though it thinks there is no post, it is...
This just happened, this is a brand new job and as you can see I ran the first 2 operations through just fine, and then without warning I get it on the third job. Settings or machine files didn't...
Okay, so I have been searching and playing around with my post. So as of right now, when I click on “POST”, IE opens up with a setup sheet, then gives me an error. Aside from the error right now, or...
Here is my situation. As of right now, I populate the “user comments” section with all of the important setup information, x/y zero location, z zero location, vise or fixture setup, parallel size,...

Nevermind, lmao
Dim Number As string = MILL_GetProgramNumber()
Dim Name As string = MILL_GetProgramName()
Dim wName = MILL_GetWorkPieceName()
MILL_ProcessPostLine(Number)
MILL_OutputText(Name)

So does anybody else want to take a guess? It is still happening. Here is the latest screenshot of it in action. As you can see I have went back in and tidied all my files up. The post file is...
Hey thanks for trying BurrMan. I was trying to explain that it's not a matter of me choosing the correct post, as this just happens randomly while working on a job. It doesn't matter if it's an old...
when I pick my machine at a new setup, the correct post pulls up with.
never the less, when the error happens and solidworks crashes, I am not doing anything with the post........
lately I have been getting a lot of these "missing post errors". it happens in the middle of doing anything, except messing with the post. the post is in its folder just as always, nobody is messing...
So working on the fact that I can goto a sub, hopefully that is possible in some form, if I set a memoryloc() while nested 2x or 3x subs deep, is it globally available??
Like,
If...
I'm with you, I was actually looking through it yesterday wondering how I could make it run faster and clean it up some.
We have run about a half dozen jobs thru with this post and have only seen...
In all honesty, everything that you just said in this post sounds like your problem is not with bobcad, but you have an incompetent cnc guy.
If in the last three months your guy can't produce a...
Yeah, got a helluva deal a few months back, now I get this email yesterday, guess my great deal was them just clearing the shelves for the new product!!lol
Honestly I haven't even touched v27, I...
I am going to have to go back to the original job that started this post, check the runtime, then change the posts to the new hsl post and recheck the time.
But as I'm typing, I don't think it would...
Hey SBC, if ya get a chance could ya look this over. Like I said this is my first attempt at this scripting programming. Just want to make sure you don't see anything that could cause me problems....
Hey no worries, I am out of the office today anyways.
I believe I figured it out though, took me a few days but then I started to see the correlation between this scripting and parametric...
so i copied 2040 and 2055 of your script and added it to my post, had a few errors here and there, mostly spelling, had to change a couple things as for as the code, but finally got it to spit...
So as to my original post, that is exactly what I am here looking for. Would you happen to know we're a chap can find this script to add into my post??
Thanx!!
As for all the other posts......

This is a big problem. I just switched cams to bobcam from 1cnc. 1cnc uses max feed rate on all toolpaths highlighted as return to cut paths. Funny how bobcam also highlights those paths, why isn't...
Hey y'all have a question for ya.
HSM toolpaths, V4 for sldwrks, looking at the nc code with the debug on, it is spitting out the same Line#55 for the Z+ move and return to next cut lines, which...
Damn dude thanx for all the efforts!!
Basically in a nutshell, bobcad just doesn't "cut it" in their machining from stock.
I can see where you are going with the setups. Each initial depth is...
Thanx
Creating boundaries isn't my answer. The part is mounted on sine plate at an angle. So my boundaries vary Dependant on my z depth.
I'll step the file out and maybe a cple scrnshots...
thanx for helping a guy out y'all.
still haven't figured out how to confine the toolpaths to the stock model???
I'm running solidworks2015 and bobcamv4
sorry, op2 is the bottom side of op1. so to run op2 you flip the part over. hope that makes more sense.
right
I have a solid part to represent what was machined in op1.
using that said solid part, I want to machine from stock, the solid part, to the geometry of the finished part.
I cannot get bobcad...
thanx for trying guys
to explain it a little better, I cut the profile of the part on op.1 down to a depth of 1 1/2". which leaves a step or ledge all the way around the stock material.
now on...
