Very cool!
Some day I want to build a engine out of wood.
I think it would be a cool way to get somebody to scratch their head in disbelief.:)
Cool!
I have some small items I will put for sale to test the system.
I suspect in the water jet application the HUGE electric motor is needed for startup because the machine pump has such a restriction. You could probably use a 100 horse diesel to power it but you may...
This place is full of non machinists that don't own the handbook. They do spend money on parts and pieces to build machines and some buy machines.
Just because this is a machinist forum doesn't...
Joes kit is way cool and has a large cut size too.
I forgot to mention one of those girl mechanics is my daughter. Go figure I had 4 boys and one girl and she is the only one that payed attention when I tried to share my experience with mechanical...
For most girls the passion for machines are not the same as for boys but if a girl does have the passion for it she should go for it. I have worked with girl mechanics in the past and they did just...
No I don't have any new project ideas but i'm still producing the Texas bowls for sale at the local market. I do plan to make some different product in the near future.
Well I have done a rebuild, sorry I didn't get pictures of the crash but I was so bummed I dropped the project for a short time. It's back into production and working great. I incorperated some of...
Some times reinventing the wheel is a mission one has to take in life to feel full ;)
After a closer inspection of what you posted I see your just concerened if it will work running it by hand. A picture would be worth a thousand words.
Let me start by saying that sure sounds like a cool machine! (I want one) :) :)
From what your describing it sounds like the weight of what is on the Z is supported by 4 screws with brass nuts...
You did a great job on that machine!
Tell him thanks for going there for me :)
Gecko ROckX :)
Let's test windows media :)
woops again ;)
I like the idea! :)
it was fun talking with those that did attend..Thanks :)
Till next time (nuts) :)
Thanks Walter :)
I have some time on my hands and will be willing to answer any questions you may have about my homebuilt router or stuff I learned building it.
I can attend for 1 hour from this post time :)
Oh...
I not sure of the construction of Dewalt trim router but from what I have read about them they are far better then a Rotozip.
Those motors should work just fine, but I would not use a rotozip they can't hold up to the long running times because of the plastic fan they use in it.
At one time I admined a music site that included chat that was used very little. So what we did was send Emails to the members a few days before that included a topic of the session and a time window...
I still think user pages would be cool and I know how to build it ;)
Over all I think you have done a great job mixing the subjects and ads that pertain to them. When I first found this place via Google it took a moment to narrow down what I wanted but, before long...
.014 in a Texas Bowl may cut Huston off (nuts)
You do need to fix that :)
It looks like you mastered that part :D
Thanks for pointing this out Walter,
All I can say is wow and I hope to use some of these drivers in future projects built from funds from my current ones.:)

After a closer look you could raise the Y up a few inches or so, and then ad a plate extending down on the Z and that would give you a few more inches if Y/Z...
How did you get a picture of me?
