What tolerances do they hold when they manufacture the rack? Cheaper is better but not if they have .020 per foot tolerance.
Dwayne

Doesnt the 35 volt include back EMF? If you run it down to 30v will 6v more really make a difference?
Dwayne
I had to do it. I still do not have the Hobby set running yet but hope to by this weekend.
Dwayne
You cannot up the power supply on the Xylotex to 36 volt. You will destroy the driver board.
Dwayne
I and others here ordered from Bolt Depot. Easy to use and price seems fair, you can buy all of your bolts full thread from them.

Buzz - I have a Sosylva also and found I had the same problems with mine. Machine is great for cutting signs and such but not accurate enough for what I ultimately want to do. I think part of the...
I use STP oil treatment. Thick and slick with a tack to it. As the machine runs it keeps the screw cleaned off. No problem.
You can buy a kit from Joe himself. Click HERE to send him a private message.

Welcome Gary, its alot of fun here and the people are great. I hope you get this thing going soon. You will spend hours just watching it run.
Dwayne
You do not need alot of suction pwer to pick up air born dust. You need air flow. Reducing hose resticts air flow on a dust collector
Dwayne
DougO - if I remember corectly you have a Xylotex 269 kit? Is that what you are running with?
Dwayne

Dwayne
Does your website have more pictures? What is the web address?
I like it, does look very clean and slick. Have you even started on the table yet?
Dwayne
Well..er...uh...I dunno. That is where it is at on my current router. I never noticed that it was on the other side on Joe's machine. Now I feel kinda stupid. But hey..I can change it, or leave it I...

Well I thnk I now have a Joe's wannabe in my shop. I finished the assembly as far as I wanted to go then tore it down. I did notice that I am going to have some issues with bearing contact on the x...
If you want the blue stuff it should be in the electrical dept next/close to the conduit. It is Flexible non-metalic conduit ( we used to call is Smurf pipe)
We used those in one plant I worked in to turn encoders. So basically now load, they would break a couple times a year. I would opt for Lovejoy or like I said hose. You are not running too fast and...
Sorry to see this happen to you. Looks like there is an alignment issue here. Even though these are "flexible" you still need to maitain alignment. You should be able to find some documentation that...
On my Sosylva I used my router table and a 45 degree bit. I just cut the entire length a littl at a tim. I think I did something like 3 passes. That way I did not have to worry about a notch.
Another day and a little more progress. The way my mind works is like this. I cannot paint anything until it all goes together for fitment, then take it apart and paint. This will hopefully let me...
ccsparky - Thanks for the compliments. I am using drill rod on the Y axis. It is 36 inches. I did see HERE where you can get custom lengths but I did not want to spend the extra money right now. Read...
Planning on using 1 1/16" drill rod, should be very close to the pipe. I only increased the diameter of the gantry holes .020 to fit them. Problem is they are heavy. Not sure it will work. If not...
