    Re: Canuck's HD Metal Monster

I was wondering how they would be better than R&P, because such things are slower... but then I remembered you are using massive servo's that can make those things fly.

    Re: Another newbie first build

I'd rather have something that worked that looked ghetto than something that looks pretty that doesn't.

    Re: Aftershock ... rc glider

Well, pulled from the bag, you can see it with one layer of peel and paper towels pulled off. The second layer of peel came off ok, without popping the part out of the mold, but gonna get some perf...

Re: DIY 3 Axis CNC Foam Router Milling Machine

Can not see the video, marked private. But it seems to me 'commerical' is something that is available for everyone to buy. If this is not a machine anyone can go out and buy (ie. commercially...

    Re: Aftershock ... rc glider

First I had to cut out a template for the horizontal shape, for material. I should actually make another that has holes where the dimples are so I don't have to do that by hand, or can at least...

Poll: Re: Latest Design CRP PRO4896 Build log Awesomeness!!

The graphics card requirements are left overs from day's long ago, with much lesser capable machines.

I have run files with over 200k lines without issue.

    Re: Aftershock ... rc glider

Popped it open just a bit ago. This is it just opened. Loads of clay to clean up and edges to sand down. Overall not bad for a first go at it.

For the next one, which will be the other side of...

    Re: Aftershock ... rc glider

I guess it depends on what the total machining time would be. This piece, about 62" x 7.5" (at the widest) just took a little over 5 hours. Loads of sanding to do.

    Re: Aftershock ... rc glider

Unfortunately all I have done is shorten the overstep. I am down to 10% on a .25" BN. I still get them and it requires a good bit of sanding (and the paper clogs constantly). But corian cuts...

I have bigger wire going to my shed, but it all goes back to a 20a breaker in the house. I run router, air cleaner, dust system, lights, radio and other items, no problems ever.

    Re: Aftershock ... rc glider

    Ah.

No, years later, some of the same airfoils are still around and kicking. Rg14 and 15 are quite popular. Oh, you know, what, it's neither of those, it's a rk40. Just remembered that.
