I think Tormach say that you should not use the TTS for heavy cuts. You may have got the same result even without the power drawbar.

Tormach actually provide a heavy cut adapter (rubber ring).

Yes I agree with you Bob, I get the same sense. Even with the flood on full (it was throttled back in the video's) it still does a poor job of chip clearing.

One thing I was hearing while it was cutting was a grating or grinding noise coming from the endmill, so I wonder...
