true i can imagine that
What’s fascinating is how you can turn the pulleys by hand and with certain easy lift a weight via the lead screw.
What is the science / mechanism behind that.?
I am intrigued that what appear...
When you finish with a calculation of 100N belt tension. Is this the force you have worked out that is acting on the belt.
So for example if the belt was rated at 80N; it would snap straight away.?
i cant wait to delve into it while having my shake.
a final question. is a 1300N belt strong enough providing it is aligned and tensioned correct; based on the figures above.
also when i...
you have any links to vids or web where i can learn more about this. ive seen alot of pulley rope physics classes but not pulley/belt drive stuff
Yes ball screw and the pulley on that is 50mm in diameter.
Yes about second up and then a second down
That equates to 400mm per second
Edit/ and yes I have limited the speed to that otherwise...
Keep getting stuff wrong. It’s around 400m/s so it’s like between half a second to a second up and then down so like you said 2 seconds . So fast enough for the milk shake lol. If you can work it out...
so like 10 cycles in a minute which is like 6 seconds
the motor inertia is :
Torque coefficient(N.m/A)
we are nearly there. i am able to reduce the accleration in what is called "smoothing" which is the smoothing of the profile to provide less "jerk"
anyhow; the pitch of the screw is 20mm which is...
The max speed is 0.4Mper second and there is hardley any viberation in the leadscrew that is 25mm thick. short lead screw so that is a bonus.
the acceleration is instant. 400mm/s instant...
pete, thank you for your reply. ;
1) you are using a belt to lift a weight? yes 40kg (EDIT: but via pulleys and leadscrew)
2) are you using the leadscrew and driving the screw with a belt? YES ...
how much kg can a 1000Fanm(N) tension member loading lift at speeds of up to 0.5M per second using a lead screw. (2500rpm)
Is there any formulas out there work out the correct belt to use on a...
Which of these is the stronger belt; KELVER VS STEEL
Is there a way to get a company to put more steel cords into a belt?
does anyone know of any alternate; belt width must be 15-16mm width.

Vlod. There will be hardly any load on it at all.
And it is an experiment so I don’t want to spend any more Than I have done YET.
I went from gbrll nema 17 to tb6600 nema 23 on advice therefore...
This is the code I am using;
/* Example sketch to control a stepper motor with TB6600 stepper motor driver and Arduino without a library: continuous rotation. More info:...
Is there a major disadvantage if I do it with adruino? is adriuno and TB6600 board able to run 24 hours 5 days?
Because I am a newbie and don't know much and also I wanted to add a DELAY of 60 seconds after every limit switch activation.
So I could get a geared DC motor as powerful as a 3A nema motor and...
Vlod, it worked great right off the bat thanks!
I am trying to achive as follows;
I have a ballscrew and would like it to go clockwise until it hits a limit switch then reverses direction;...
I just got another driver and the resistance on the 200K setting showed that the new unit shows resistance values between all A+ A-, B+ B- and VC/GND
The old unit shows zero readings therefore...
can i ask if outputs were dead from tb6600 then how was the motor able to draw power from it to heat up.?
i left the tb6600 on for a couple of minutes turned it off. put it on 200 ohms. and had one probe on the coil outputs and other probe on either GD and VC.
There was zero reading.
ive done gbrrll but with nema17; motor not big enough so bigger drivers like tb6600 could drive nema 23 which was perfect for me
the motor has 4 wires ; 2 + 2 paired all good; checked resistance...
Hi guys,
I set up my nema23 stepper motor 2.8A using a TB6600 driver/Adruino board as per link: https://mytectutor.com/tb6600-stepper-motor-driver-with-arduino/
TB6600 Stepper Motor Driver...
lol i managed to program g-code to make it go left to right and home, reset zero , time delay, that stuff is easy.
and on the gbrl controller it allows connection to limit switches.
i just...
Would this one do itl its alot cheaper it says on it. time delay.
what about those limit a and limit B input switching.

Jim
Those look a lot more user friendly than the gbrll controller which you need laptop trigged to it.
So basically on the controller you shown for single axis when it hits limit switch it...
Okay so I plan to have a limit switch on either side but I don’t want the limit switch to stop the motor. I would like the ball nut to reverse direction when it hits a limit switch after a 5 second...
