    Re: VH-65 troubleshooting

Turned out to be a stuck motor brush, it had varnish or epoxy on it. Works like a champ now

    Re: VH-65 troubleshooting

    Ok thank you
I recall a parameter that was yes/no for the brake, I’ll have to look for the auto brake setting(unless it’s in auto if you select No to the M60/61 setting?)

    VH-65 troubleshooting

I posted this on PM, sorry if you hang out at both :)

I recently purchased a used VH-65. It looks to be in excellent condition, with little signs of use, but the seller didn’t know if it was...

  5. Re: Fadal VMC 20 1993 Air line lubricator purpose

I went with the Marvel oil. It’s red, easier to see in the sight glass, specs say it’s good for corrosion prevention.
    Thanks for the tip

Maybe I’ll just use air tool oil

  7. Fadal VMC 20 1993 Air line lubricator purpose

Can someone please tell me the purpose of the air line lubricator in the box below the electrical disconnect?
It’s the left bowl in the picture . The air line connects on the right side of the box,...

Re: new Haas TM1P has arrived!

I also have just under 104”. According to Haas the lowest height for moving thru a door is 84” feet on, 78” feet off. I may make some low profile feet

Sorry to clog up Toms thread

Re: new Haas TM1P has arrived!

I’m in the exact same boat( looking at same machine , same ceiling height, 83 3/4” door)
I’d like to know minimum height above machine, I guess I’d be alright if the cable track touched ceiling as...

Nice, looks like a success. Video is real time?
An enclosure would be a time saver. I have a Cnc knee mill and it makes a huge mess :)

Selling a kit at a price that’s affordable and still makes you money may be tough???

Nice work, I like the panel.
Funny you mention tool length and the knee Z in your opening post.
Just today I was working on adding a knee encoder to my Acer knee mill with 2 axis Anilam.

Re: Looking for Sharp 1640L lathe gears

I would love to be proven wrong, but I imagine the odds of anyone having these gears AND be willing to give them up is slim.
It’s pretty convenient for you that the gears are available, 30 days is...

Re: buying PCNC 1100, am I asking too much?

Most machines of this type have small Z backlash because gravity pulls the weight of the head against the screw

    Trying to find this connector

I work in a power plant, we have metal 480v 3 phase 100amp welding plugs all over the place. They are all metal bodies.
We also use metal Amphenol plugs on tons of control wires.
    Don’t mangel the...

  20. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

Not sure how it works, but it calculates cutter engagement during roughing adaptive tool paths to be most efficient

  21. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

    Don’t know dude

I only thing I would try is turning optimum load in passes tab down, try small like .005

I think in the tool library you can click on the holder tab and select different holders...
  22. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

I’m not seeing anything obvious, post a picture of the tool settings from the tool library. It’s the only thing I can think of. I’m pretty good with Fusion, but I taught myself, so there are probably...
  23. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

Also check your endmill diameter and make sure you didn’t edit it to be bigger. You can have the name be 1/8” endmill, but edit the diameter to be bigger

  24. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

I guess it depends on where your cut starts, if you start the cut in the narrow part, the .009” is a short travel path 90 degrees to the narrow wall.
You should be able to hover your mouse over the...
  25. Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

I’m on my phone, so it’s hard to see, but your leadin looks like .009”?
.125” endmill plus the .009” lead in is bigger than your slot .130”?? So I see why no valid tool path would generate., just...
  26. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

The lead-in/out just keeps the endmill from leaving a vertical mark if you were to retract the cutter vertically from the finish pass, or plunge in from the beginning
Can you post screen shots of...
  27. Re: Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

Lead-in is a setting that makes a gradual “ramp” to the actual tool path. When the tool path is complete , lead-out is a gradual move away from the cut. There are horizontal and vertical check boxes....
  28. Fusion 360 Cam seems to make me use smaller bits then I would think

Are you using a lead-in and lead-out? Is the specified distance too long?
How about material left for finish pass? If too much is left might cause problems
