I picked up this machine second hand and it's been converted to belt drive with the midwest machine works power draw bar.
I'm trying to setup the power draw bar and when I do as pictured the spindle...
I'm trying to figure out how much clamping force these spring washers have, does anyone have the spec's???
Joe, I need the password to login to the Masso, the default of HTG does not work.
I have it all working, it needed a forward on that I wired through the relay.
I also added a braking resistor and it stops the spindle way faster.
I've been controlling the spindle manually via the vfd control panel, I just upgraded the THC to the flashcut so now I have the mini IO board.
I can get 0-10v out of the mini IO for the spindle...
If that doesn't get me cutting at cut chart speeds 34's will be next!
What version of flashcut?
I'm also changing the cam roller set up with Parker cassette's, should be a big improvement.
The issue I have is the torque sensing AVHC, with the plate flexing I've had to slow down. I'm currently waiting for my shipment of a flashcut stingray height control and version 8 software to give...
Anyone interested in a Torchmate blue screen height control?
I'm upgrading to ohmic sensing.
PM me if you are interested.
I'm running str8 drivers and ht23-603 motors from applied motion technologies with two motors for the x "long" axis.
You need the mini io board and version 4.5 I believe.
Best suggestion is to give flashcut your serial number and they will let you know.
Yes it's been up and running for a good while now and working good.
The power supply is from Antek

Here's the almost finished product, I used a different enclosure.

I looked in the zip files and didn't see them?
Hoss do you offer the conversion kit in .stl format? I seen a guy on ebay selling the .stl files for the mounts and thought since I have a 3D printer I could print them out and use the printed ones...
I was hoping there was a good solution for converting from the wasteful air curtain that blows expensive shop air across the entire bed to a direct nozzle of air just where the laser is.
I have seen...
Have you looked at flashcut ? I'm really happy with the repeatability of my flashcut / torchmate setup. It uses applied motion products stepper drivers.
You can't go wrong with an Epilog, they have refurbs from time to time. Top notch tech support included and made in Golden, Colorado. USA
I went with Epilog for their quality, customer service and they're made in the good old USA!
I'm looking at a few epilog lasers but don't know what to look for in a good used machine. My budget is up to 14k. Any help would be appreciated.
I'm starting out with some whiteside v bits, 90 & 60 degree 1/2 dia and 60 degree 1/4 dia. and a couple up/down 1/4 dia.
Thanks again for all the info.
With that being said what's the bit's used most? E.G. for a basic 3/4 mdf sign clearance with 1/2 end mill, letter with 90 degree v bit, finish with 1/8 ball mill.
Thanks Ger. That's the issue, I'm not sure as I've not done any cnc sign routing yet so I'm not sure what would be needed and what would be nice to have.
Thanks everyone I've got a good variaty of cutters from Onsrud and a few others in my cart.
I'm looking @ v bit's now and I like the idea if the insert style, I find the Amana rc-1102 for about...
That's what I'm looking for! Thanks Devastator.
