    Re: MACH3/FEEDRATE

Both programs appear to run fine in demo mode.

Changing the feedrate does indeed change the speed.

Note that in G93 mode, the feedrates are specified in time, not actual feedrate.

    In G93...

Re: David A's New 2x3 Bench Top CNC

Change the error tolerances from .03 to .001 or .002.

Reducing max unify can also get rid of the issue.

You're settings are telling UCCNC it can deviate by .03", and move up to 2" in a straight...

Re: Vetric Aspire nose dive on Z Axis

The noise your hearing is the motors stalling, or losing position.

Re: Vetric Aspire nose dive on Z Axis

This has nothing to do with Aspire. It's either a Mach3 issue, or your machine is stalling and losing position.

Yes, the manual explains everything very clearly.

What's the velocity setting for your A axis?
  8. Re: Purchasing 6040 CNC in a month, need help making the right choice for my needs

The G540 takes the place of the breakout board.

The G540 does have a limited number of inputs though. If you need more, you can add a breakout board to the second port of the UC400ETH.

    Re: MACH3/FEEDRATE

No, it should take 1/14.147 minutes, or 4.2 seconds.
    It's inverse time mode.

Re: Fineline Shutdown or Perpetrating a Fraud!!

I'd argue that linear rails bolted to extrusion are still better than any other system on an extrusion based machine.

The quality of the bearings probably also comes into play, as many machines...

re: Fineline Shutdown or Perpetrating a Fraud!!

Yes, it depends on the preload of the bearings. The higher the preload, the more precise the mounting surfaces need to be. The specs I mentioned above were for light preload. As the preload goes up,...

Is the feedrate set in the Wizard? If so, try increasing it.

Sorry, but I really don't know what else to look for.
Does all code run slow now? Or just this one?

    Re: MACH3/FEEDRATE

That code uses G93 Inverse time feedrates.

Have you run any code from that Wizard that runs correctly?

The wizard says it ONLY works with Mach3 3.042.029. Is that the version you are using?

Re: First Build looking for tips and advice.

    1) Do NOT buy those motors.

Any motors over 450-500oz should be rated at least 5a-6a for best performance.Look for motors with an Inductance less than 3mH. High inductance motors will run very...

re: Fineline Shutdown or Perpetrating a Fraud!!

Just because people mount linear rails to extrusions, doesn't mean it meets the standards of the rail manufacturers.

The motors are different for Dyn2 (60V) and DYN4 (200V) drives.
  21. Re: Help choosing the right motion controller for UCCNC + MX4660

If everything is wired to the MX4660, then the UC400ETH is really all you need.
But I also usually recommend the UC300ETH, as it's only $25 more.

No, the UC100 generates the steps. The software just tells it how many and when. But I don't think the software sends a separate signal for each step.

After searching Ebay for each one, the answer could be nothing, or lots of things.

Looks like the T **may** have more Z travel, and a larger spindle, but there are 6040's that are the same.
