Fixed/Supported will be fine for the X axis. I am getting 400IPM on my X3 with a .2" lead, fixed/supported X and Z, and never a problem. My ballscrews are 20mm diameter though.

I am converting using 20mm screws myself. The ballnut diameter is 35mm, they fit with no issue at all.
Only annoyance was buying the 60 dollar tap that I will only use 3 times.

Have you tried checking the roundness of a pocketed hole or circle?

Paying retail for ground ballscrews is pretty much a waste for the mill anyways, not unless everything else was brought up to par. I don't think you will have an issue justifying the cost, clearly...

They look like the 16mm diameter ground series.
Good job listening, this is an excellent improvement over your original kit. Do you have an estimated price yet? All 3 axes- the full kit.

Is this a different ball screw than the original kit you are selling?

Thanks for the replies. I actually went into 3d sketch and it worked. But, modeling a stepper motor for practice, inserting a new plane was useful as well :)
