Keith,
Mine is the same system as Jim's, except I run a larger table.
It all depends on the application.
Recently I was cutting some 9" diff brake calliper mounts, 10mm plate with 10mm holes.

I do the same thing with my Samson table however, Design Edge software has a 'time to mark point' setting, that can go as low as 0.01 sec.
Works a treat, I use it all the time.
Hi everyone,
Possum Plasma Cutting are pleased to announce, the release of the new Snap 'n Cut breakaway mount to suit the Hypertherm Powermax 125 plasma machine torch.

Dave,
Been real busy and missed this entirely....:o
Super looking table mate, well done.
Ah hah....I see it now.
The only pipe threading machine I've used is an old Ridgid....:)....way back when.
Good choice tho, plenty of torque.
Dave,
Nice work mate, interested to know what you're powering the tube roller with??
The rocker....dare I say.....rocks. :D
Thanks Dave....certainly looks good fitted up.
Nice knowing the torch is protected and, also makes for easy consumable changes.
Good setup.....I take it you get no downward deflection with heavier plate?
Terrible cuts on the aluminium......I joke of course......

Nice progress Dave.
I'm interested to know whether you run the slats straight across the table or utilize a center divider and curve them?
I only ask because I developed a grate system for...
Sounds good mate.....just not the cleaning part is all.
I've got a universal model on the market now so, should make mounting a lot easier than last time.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Mick....
Hey Tom.....One of the reasons I don't like water tables.....
Only kidding mate.
Did you see the vid posted on my website??
One customer has fitted a rudimentary cut out switch, looks to...
Just wondering what makes you say the Plasmacam software is garbage???
I'm certainly no expert when it comes to CAD but, I find the Plasmacam software very easy to use.....Have done for a long time...
Thanks for the kind words Dave, much appreciated.
I tend to think the same, I don't mind making a lot of tooling myself but, also spend money when it's hard to justify the time and effort.
Feel...
Thanks all the same mate, I'm happy where I am.
Maybe you should do a comparison on pricing on others in the market, you'd then realise mine are very reasonanble.....better include UPS Express...
The Snap 'n Cut mount has been on the market since late 2010, plenty of happy users, no one's complained of price.
Considering everything is CNC machined, zinc plated and anodized and, includes...
Dave,
Good looking tables you're building there, also a really nice clean shop.
I notice you're thinking of incorperating a torch breakaway on this build, if so, keep me in mind, I may have just...
When I originally designed my grate system, I had the slats running the length of the table.
On the redesign, I changed to across.
Across the table makes it easier to curve the slats to prevent...
Max,
The Plasmacam Design Edge program that comes with all new machines is all you'll need.
It's a huge improvement over the older versions and, apart from the easy to use drawing abilities, it...
That cracks me up Tom.
I can imagine the guys will pay 'special attention' after that episode.....(chair)
Snap 'n Cut are pleased to announce, they now have a universal breakaway mount, able to be fitted to the majority of entry level CNC plasma tables.
If the Snap 'n Cut mount saves your torch once,...
It never ceases to amaze mae how a simple question, posted a couple of years ago, can elicit such antagonism towards an opinion.
Lots of guys take the time to research what others think of their...
I'll add to what I said a couple of years ago.
I'm still running the same Samson table but, have now moved on to a Hypertherm Powermax 85, combined with advanced Design Edge software.
Although I...
Paul,
Sounds like you need one of my new mini-universal Snap 'n Cut magnetic breakaway mounts.

Would have saved your torch.
Hey Tom,
Sorry I didn't post sooner, mind's been elsewhere today....One of my mates was killed in a car smash over the weekend, just found out this morning.
It would seem it may have been a while...
My table is a 5X10 and, I run a 4000cfm fan in 2ft ducting.
It vents into the roof of a small shed outside the factory unit, in the shed I have a water bath on the floor, with a vent cut in the wall...
Hey Tommy,
Any particular reason why you changed from downdraft to water table??
I love my downdraft and, after seeing another blokes water table, meant I like it even more.
Just curious.
Mick.
Mate, that Snap 'n Cut looks like it was built to fit the DynaTorch.
Glad it worked out for you....if I can help in any way in the future just give me a holler.....

Hey Jim, don't you mean pierce height 0.12".
12" seems a bit high......
Sorry, couldn't resist.
As you've already found out, I'm not in the habit of "just buying whatever I need", I also have many happy customers making good use of the fruits of my labour.
Good luck with your venture, I really...
You're joking right ?????
Please tell me you're joking...........
If not.....save your pennies and just buy one.
