If you want something that works invest into Alphacam and take the introductory online...

Just an update
we purchased Alphacam and the cix post and took the online introductory training just this week, well worth the money to take the course
we are nothing short of being totally ...

we now know things we didnt know 3 months ago
we know we love our Biesse machine and Biesse...

we have moved on . we are using a biesse works now , the post never worked successfully for us , and Bobcad V30 crashes for no reason , they would try to fix the post only to have another issue show...

I don't doubt what you are saying
I am learning how to work around some of the quirks and showing the quirks to Bobcad and than with time they get the post fixed , we do a lot of the same type of...

we got that worked out and were doing some stuff that actually works

but we just get a surprise package every now and than wit the z value cutting into our spoil board

the Bobcad post does not...

with being lots on the phone and turbo meetings with Bobcad
we finally have got the 00 where we want it , had to make a change in the post
also they fixed the feeds and speed...

im not sure how to get the file on here
feed isnt the only issue
there is the issue on cad I have to use the lower left for my 0 0 points
and than on the machine the 0 0 point is at the back...

we do pvc sheets into exterior trim columns etc mostly straight lines and curves
changing the seeds in the parmeters doesn't do it
I have to do it in the tool settings and if I enter .6 for...

also you mentioned you got hsm pro ,
is this someting we should look into and how good does thier post work with Biesse , do they have an iso post as of today

and on software side

we have a biesse rover B 7.40 FTK flat table 5x12
FTK can not do pendelomn machining
but is there any way if we only use the first 5'...

BIESSE is great , they have a lot of neat features . and super fast
I think the way they program is the way of the future if you want to automate and communicate with other machines
who else has...

Ok I may as well spend time training on biesse works and import dxf files into biesse works etc. I have biesse works so I don't need to go out and buy another program. We asked the master cam dealer...

Ive sorta hit my frustration limit with bobcad on the posting side
I can post a code that works but it still has lots of quirks and needs to be edited manually yet

we have been using bobcad for the last 10 years and worked great, at low cost, for on our thermwood router which is a 1995 with a updated 91000 super control which we bought 10 years ago
we updated...

I will give them a little more time I don't like learning new programs so if they get it working and me happy than all is good

right now Im banging my head against the wall , the code that bobcad spits out is not correct and maybe bobcad doesnt know biesse

how did you make out with a post
we got a post from Bobcad and its not liking the code, something is still wrong in the program line ,
we have contacted Biesse but thier software...

thanks we will play around with that

so is it possible to do the outside chamfer in one pass and just up at each corner ? so it could be done in less time
the middle recessed can be done with a surfacing cutter and than corner clean...

we just upgraded to V30 from V21 little over a month ago so just using V30 from V21 is quite a change :)
