ClearPath® - Integrated Servo System (CPM-SDSK-3421S-ELN)
I used those for all 4 with the exception of Z not being enhanced model. I stayed with the same model for the Z as per recommendation from...
Not much to update at the moment, Just finished my 3D printer build now to program the firmware then its back to the CNC build
Nice to meet a fellow Northwestern on here, I am from Arlington WA. Congrats on your build!
Nate will have to comment on that, there is about 1/8" on one side and even less on the other, there does not feel like there is any play in the pinion or pulley system.

Ill take some more photos tomorrow
Ill reach out to him again and see what i can do, I am looking to be a US distributor for the MB2.
Sure the servos are superior but I was merely calling it an apples to apples comparison of price...
Congrats, I planned on adding a laser and rotary axis later as well just not upfront because I am also in the middle of building out a 3D printer and Airpipe system for my compressor. I will look...
Start making some Nema 17 clearpaths for the 3D print industry and ill order a dozen.... looking to build out a multi independent head printer that needs clearpaths hint hint :)
A build of this is...
Yes the Z is the same size the only difference on the Z motor is it is not the ehanced version because it does not need to extra resolution.
I do not personally have any experience with the...
My Saturn Arrived Yesterday!!! Time to get busy :)
One of the design goals of this was to have a control cabinet that was clean with as few of components as possible, I will cover each...
I met a guy down at our local makerspace last week that welded a machine that looked just like yours, only difference was that he welded plates onto the ends of each steel beam then bolted the whole...
The Saturn Machine just got in today! finally can start having some fun :)

Ger, Check out the close up photo of the terminal block i used. Yes they were a little more expensive but they eliminated the need for power distribution blocks and ground bus bars, creating a single...
Yeah I love their site, I bought most of my stuff from there, if they sold these terminal blocks and the Altech GFCI breakers I would have bought everything through them, definitely best prices on...
Awesome, I cant wait! just got notification that my machine is shipping today. Last night i rewired my test bench with the new terminal blocks.
These terminal blocks arrived yesterday. Makes for a...
Cant wait to get my machine in hand... unfortunately the wait is pushing us past the 4th of july deadline :(
what are you guys using the 8 contact relays for then?
Am I going to need a relay with the MB2 for sensors? I must have misunderstood the documentation there, I was under the impression it wasnt needed with this board. I just have the single large black...
Good morning gentlemen, yes definitely piggy back.... i have them connected side by side right now and its a covered mess. (dang 3d printer giving me issues so i dont have Gerrys mount done yet)
I did forget about the GFCI breaker for the receptacle that comes after the relay so a 20W x 16L would be the best fit. that will leave room for the addition of a laser controller as well.
Anyone looking to do this build after the new MB2 for UC300ETH is built will be able to eliminate the 5v power supply then a 16x16 is more than enough.... this photo will give you an idea of what...
here is what it would look like with a 20Wx16L case359256

Case arrived today, It is a 16"x 20" ... sort of wish i went with the 16x16 or 20W x 16L this seems like the perfect layout...
I called a UL508 Panel Shop designer. They said that they would run everything on 220.... split the 120 with neutral, place external devices on 120 and not to worry about balancing as it is...
Yes, I tend to want to know the how where and why on things I do and often dive deep sometimes needing to be grounded. Ive learned a lot doing so.... FYI running everything on 220 provides the best...
Looking into section 647 on sensitive electronics, deriving 120 from 240 seems is best done with a balanced system. Meaning no neutral wire 60/120 two hots for 120 instead of hot to neutral. This has...
Not to mention that MWBC are dangerous. This is done in appliances like Clothes Dryers but the danger of splitting 120 from 240 is in the neutral. If for whatever reason the neutral becomes...
Also the inspector will expect to see a best effort at a balanced load on a MWBC... getting perfect balance is not possible but the effort should be made
I agree with it being more efficient only potential issue I see is the concept about balancing a "Multi wire branch circuit" which is what you are creating when splitting 120 from 220 is that when...
