    It's possible to make a range of common variables shared between the 2 sides.

    I had to do the same on similar control. We had to change a system parameter to do it.

    Cnc to cnc data rransfer

    Allo,

    Do any of you know if it might be possible to transfer variable data from one fancy cnc control to another via ethernet.

    I can do it with rs232... But with ethernet it seems not possible...

    I would also suggest that you not use standard...

    I would also suggest that you not use standard N10, N20, etc on goto lines....
    If you or someone else were to resequence or sequence the program to insert Nxx block, the program would be jacked up....

    Just a tidbit of info as far as cable are concerned. I've always used a simple NULL modem cable to transfer data then set appropriate paramaters.
