    Re: Reset Log file?

In case anyone's still wondering - I did trace it down to a short in the wiring. I couldn't actually find the short, but I did find that shorting one of the 3 wires (didn't write down which one...

    Re: Reset Log file?

For those playing along at home - I'm pretty sure it's a bum wire.

Yesterday, the machine ran for about 10 or so hours grand total and had about 6 or so reset events. One time when I was...

    Re: Reset Log file?

    Hey Ger,

The limit and home switches are the same, I'll have to check if I can disable them. That is slightly scary as I have had things go wrong, lost steps and had the limit switches save my...

    Reset Log file?

After years and years of running with no problems, I started having random reset issues.

I've already checked all the usual suspects - electrical noise, loose connections etc. but still can't...
  6. Re: Multiple offsets for the same tool in RapidTurn

Ok, so I don't have an answer to my exact question but a suggestion that was given to me is to just set up the tool as a boring bar with the single offset that I have and use it like that.

    E.g.:...
  7. Re: Multiple offsets for the same tool in RapidTurn

Yea, I got the advice from a well known YouTube machinist. The idea is to accurately clock the end mill such that one of the face cutting edges is used as a boring bar. The process would be to...
  8. Multiple offsets for the same tool in RapidTurn

Using RapidTurn, I'd like to use an end mill as both a drill and a boring bar to make some plastic bushings. First, I should state I'm new to CNC turning, been running CNC routers for years and would...

    Re: RapidTurn PathPilot Y-offsets

Got a return call from tech support - haven't had a chance to try it yet but, he says a G0Y0 move should do what I'm after. I was testing with conversational which does not output a Y move.

    Hope...

  13. Re: Converting to UCCNC & UC300ETH-LPT5 (From Mach3/PP/SS)

I'm not in front of my controller but, I think if you change a value and hit apply, it will revert to whatever it was before. You have to change a value, hit ENTER, then hit apply. You can change...

    Sticky: Re: UCCNC Macro sharing

    Hi Jon,

If I remember correctly, the macro should work even with the fixed plate lower than Z-zero. What the macro does is store the difference between Z0 and the fixed plate in the axis C DRO. ...

Re: PP for V-Carve Pro 8

Most of the red lines are insignificant. I modified my Mach 3 PP a bit to output for UCCNC. I can't remember the exact mods I did but I'd be happy to share if you're interested.
