i went through the original software set up that i did when i first got the CNCRP and updated all the XML and other setting files. when i powered it up it worked like it should.

i spent a little more time working on this issue, i put the ESS in configuration mode and ran the configuration utility. after removing it from configuration mode, Mack3 is communicating with the ESS...
i ran the SCU and it was able to find the ESS, but it didn't fix the problem.

i'll be working a lot the rest of the week at my day job, but if i can't make any...
as the title says, i my CNCRP router was on but not running when i had a brief power outage
now when i turn it on i get the following message:
"client board does not reply"...
I would agree with aarghh... most people would not be willing to pay 90% of new, I have heard many people say when it comes to used equipment they expect to be in the 50%-75% range.
the other...
what a beautiful collection of clamps.... :)
I learned mostly by trial and error... so I just started making things and destroyed some materials and some bits and eventually hammered out my problems until I mostly got things right.
in the...
next i build up the area for the 4th axis, my intention is to have the 4th axis that can be installed and removed quickly and when removed the table hides its mounting location
i got the 4th axis...
i always planned on having a 4by8 machine but i didn't have space for a year ago when i purchased my pro4848 so one of the many reasons i purchased the cncrp kit was that it was so simple to upgrade...
of the "9 possible location" i assume he is counting 5 that hold the spindle in the same direction just 5 different locations, 4 of those don't give you any additional cutting ability.
what are...
are you experiencing this while cutting long straight diagonal lines, or circles and arcs?
sometimes something gets a little off on my code side and it will studder around corners, but then it...
i don't think i have pictures of building my spoil board, i made mine by drilling a 2 inch grid pattern and putting t-nuts in from the bottom. i attached it using a very similar method the video.

i upgraded from a small router to a 2.2KW spindle. best upgrade i've ever made.
routers are not designed to be used for 9 hours solid, a good spindle is made for that.
mine is a water cooled...
having a new high quality sharp bit will do a lot and a clean up pass will help, but i sand every stick of wood that comes off my mill.
do other people feel they have pieces ready to finish...
i'm not at my machine, so i don't know what version i'm running, but i have noticed a similar problem. it always seems to zero accurately, but then sometimes it will go to z=1.5 and sometimes it will...
i really wanted to add a laser to my pro4848 but the more research i did, the more i realized i wasn't willing to risk my life(or at least my eye sight) with a laser running and no enclosure. i...
after posting this i did a little reading on old posts with similar problems and i went through the wiring looking for ground problems and i did indeed had a ground that had come loose.

i have a pro4848 i have had it for a while but had to dissemble it and reassemble it while we moved, i'm just getting it up and running again.
everytime i turn my spindle on it sets off a limit...
Automatic Gift Wrapping Machine - Gift Wrap 3000 - Video Dailymotion
no g-code, but a whole new machine maybe.
i can't say for sure, since i have not tried, but i don't think you could paint the v-rail on the pro machines and then install it and not scrape off some of the paint. maybe you would be OK with...
i've had my pro4848 less then a year, but i don't have any signs of rust, i haven't done anything to protect them, but reading this thread is making me think maybe i should do something...
unless you have some aluminum extrusion that the rest of us have never seen, you can't really use "just t-slotted extrusion" for a 15 foot span, i bet it will droop a few inches before you put any...
i don't know much about servos because my machine uses steppers, but i think your going about the whole thing backwords. figuring out what motor you will use and then designing the gantry is like...

MEET HSM-MODAL. THIS modular and customizable milling machine can expand into a 41-foot-wide, 14-foot-tall, and 495-foot-long giant
because of the weight of the gantry you will need massive servos not something that can be had for a couple hundred dollars.
that being said, on yourtube you can find pictures of massive CNC...
i didn't know that frank howarth had a cnc machine. i love his videos on youtube, they are awesome.
i was a little put off by the idea of water hoses and electronics all together waiting for a mishap, but i decided that the noise level reduction was worth it.
i have a chinese 2.2KW water cooled,...
i own the PRO4848 and am very happy with it. i'm no engineer, and my CNC experience in limited, but to me the the pro design is far superior to the standard design. i feel the standard design just...
i own the pro4848 by CNCRP and i really like it, the Kronos machine looks really heavy duty, but it relies on some metal cutting and hole drilling in steal, and i assume that if i can't do that...
very interesting to watch, i hope you do a part 2 as well.
