Yes. You're going to have to program each hole individually and give each one its own D value.
Yes!
Alright. I fixed it. I didn't call the service guy but did a little reading. It ended up being the Zero offset. In the manual there is a section for this. Followed the instructions a she is really to...
Awesome! Yeah if you get marks on the heavier material, then its probably a backlash issue.
Ok I'll check that out.
Thanks.
Do the setp parameters just change on their own? I was running this machine yesterday. Here is what happened, I did a SETCS, HO and then forgot to power off the machine. Then one of my coworkers came...
It says last home position
X 0
Y 10.0000
z 0
but when I do a TC,1 and get back out to the jog position page the Z reads Z0.4200.
Yes, The marks are all lining up after a cols start.
I'm not sure how this happened but the Z tool position is off in the Z+ direction, so it sets the tools on top of the carosel. Is the a process to reset the Tool change Z0 position?
So do a short 90 deg G1 lead-in then do the arc lead-in.
I think you should try an arc lead-in. I'm pretty sure this will solve you problem.
True, pictures would help. He hasn't been back so maybe he figured it out and is blowing us off.
I might be confused here but I thought he wrote the he programmed the path as the edge of tool and is running his cutter comp at .25. So the path you have show is from tool center. With the way he...
It sounds like the ethernet is already set up if he can pull programs to the machine. You should be able to find the machine on your network from the PC. Then just copy them to the file you want.
How did the programs get in there? On that control I think there is 3 options. 1. Ethernet 2. RS232 3. Sandisk drive on the front of the control. The easiest to setup is the sandisk. Plug the card in...
If you don't have the moorpark font you can download it from the Gibbs website, it is their font.
What model is the control?
Yeah I know what you mean. The problem is you didn't give it the proper lead-in for your tool radius. So when you are leading in at that funky angle it picks up the radius and sense your tool is...
Your machine is doing exactly what you are telling it to. You have programmed a slight angle followed by a radius on both sides of of the flat portion. Also not sure why you went back to conventional...
WTF did I just read?
"#502=[[#3001*0.001]/60]
#503=[#502-#501]
#3001=0"
Really?
That worked. Thank you very much. I was beating my head against the wall. The only thing I see different is the dwell so maybe that was it.
Yeah I know about the Chip break. It posts it out line by line, all in Z moves.
I thought if I added the G73 cycle into my post and named it Chip Break that it would use the proper code. I must have...
Anyone?
I want to add a G73 to my Postform for a fadal. This is how I edited it:
WorkDefault 1 # Work offset register default
Drill # Drilling...
Machinist Handbook has a lot info in it.
A quick formula for calculating Surface Speed is: SFMP X 3.82 \ dia = RPM.
Example you want to run a 0.5 inch end mill at 500 sfpm. So it would be 500 X...
Is this a G76 cycle?
