Thanks so much. That's the slot nuts I was looking for. As I said earlier I was able to find these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RMZX9ST/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks, The Chinese 6040 uses a base of extruded aluminum and I finally found that it got 10mm grooves, so I got the square nuts from Amazon. They're 10mm M6.
I'm building a spoil board and planning on securing it to the aluminum extruded bed. Does anyone know the size of the t-nut or slot nuts that fit? I measured and looks like 9mm, just not sure. I...
I think I get what you mean and I think because of unplugging the VDF causes it to lose memory, thus my need to reprogram it. My VFD came with a normal plus that I had to wire to the R S and ground....
I'm still having problems. It seems if I haven't used my CNC for a while the VFD loses the settings. So I'll reprogram it and see if that's the problem. I'm not sure what you mean by you shouldn't...
I'm not sure what you mean. It's a 110V VFD that came with a plug attached to it. I set up my electronics enclosure with a Gecko G540 a Mean Well 48V PS 14 gauge THHN on the AC side and 16 gauge on...
My VFD is plugged into my control enclosure. It comes on when I power up the box.
It's working. I reset the VFD PD013 = 8. Then reprogrammed the VFD. plugged it in and it works. The only explanation I can think of that there must have been a surge or something that screwed up the...
I did a continuity check and that was fine and eliminates the wires.
Thanks, Kinda thought so. I was always going to upgrade to water cooled and I guess the time is now. Just hope it's the spindle. Unless there's a way to check out the VFD.
My 110v 800w air cooled spindle will not spin. It's got less than 10hours of use. Is there a way I can bypass the VFD and power the spindle to prove that it's the spindle and not the VFD.?
Thanks for the help. I now know that the 11 is the mm width of the skirt of the collet. Even though I ordered ER11 collets from Amazon, that's not what I received. I just tried again and think this...
Thanks for the reply. I do have an ER11-A clamping nut. I just order a set of collets from Amazon that says ER11, but they're all to big for the nut. They won't even fit in the shaft properly. There...
I'm trying to cut a keyhole in my material. I have the gcode, but the collets that I have (2) won't accept a 1/4 shank. I have a Chinese 6040 with an 800w spindle. I need to find a key hole bit with...
E stop question. Just winding up a case build using GS 540. Do I wire the E stop from the Negative - side of the PS to the E stop and then to pin 10 on the GS 540?
Hi all, just starting out with a new 6040 Chinese CNC. Having some problems and hope I can get some help and in turn maybe some day I'll be able to help others.
