CNCBrain_V1.0.5
Bruce usually only writes here when people are very angry.
Are there any hope for cncbrain owners?
Yes, but I bought a cncbrain.
Any news?
CncBrain – Is it alive or dead?
Two years waiting.
Anything new?
The great question is: How much time do we have to wait?... 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years...?
Since you published this I have tried several times to contact with geckodrive.com to refund my g100 but no one responses me.
It´s really true what are you telling?
Antonio
How do you opto-isolated the USB port?

My cncbrain it´s in a box...ten months waiting for the new driver.
LPT port, smothsteper, G100... are more stable. I hope to see 1.0.6.4 version soon.
If you don´t want problems I recommended you to buy an LPT port for you computer. Smooth stepper have also some bugs and no backslash ... also waiting for a year for the good driver.
Hi Dougal.
I don´t know if I can help you because I only use my plotter for raster images and the typical polygonal 3d files.
To generate the gcode I prefer to use software, by hand only...
Hi Dougal.
I´m using G202 Gecko drivers with C1 Parallel Port Interface Card from cnc4pc.com. - Windows XP SP3 - Pentium IV 2,6Gh 1GB RAM - and it´s configured like mach3 recommend on his web....

I’m testing the cncbrain with a G-code from a relief sculpture in openloop mode. The software...
I have installed but for me, right now it´s an unstable device. Now I´m working with smooth stepper while I´m waiting for the next drivers of the CNCbrain.
I have usdigital encoders , but what I understand it’s that the encoders of 500ppr should be 125 cpr.

Yes that's what I read on mach forum when mach3 added the macro pump option. But seems that no one has written this macro.
Right now I only see that rogersmachine.net has done a Plugin for that,...
I have two cnc4pc breakout boars; one for step motors and the other
for encoders. Some one knows How can I configure mach3 to Stop if the steppers loose it (following error).

Si estas utilizando motores bipolares es mejor utilizar fuentes no reguladas. La fuente regulada (la que llevan los ordenadores) es solo recomendable para motores unipolares.
Yo hice mi fuente no...
Que os parece este otro "pequeño plotter" para hacer prototipos de coches a escala natural:

Yes, all stepper drives from gecko are rated at 7A, 80VDC. But your motor in bipolar serial connection need only 6.3Amp. Higher voltages will give you more speed.
...
From gecko I suggest you the new G203V that i think that will be available this week.

I brought one last year. The tool is rated at 1hp or smaller and at high speeds I see how the centrifuge forces unblock the system and makes my tool fly.
Perhaps it’s only a good choice for very...
I have the same problem like you, I have the same motors. Right now I found this http://nanotec.com/page_steuerungen_smc61_en.html if you found something better tell me please.

The question it’s if the accuracy of this encoder it’s enough for de step motor
Granado
My cnc machine works for long times and I want to be informed
if it loses some steps. So i want to put encoders.
The question is:
I would like to know if the characteristics of this encoder...
