    Re: Twist rate/pressure

Greenhills formula is what you need. Bullet Weight/Length and velocity must be considered.

Usually long/heavy bullets use a tighter twist rate than light/short bullets...............then velocity...

    Re: Stepperworld FET 4 problem

    John,

A multimeter, driven by someone who can work one, is the available testing equipment.

This process has been plagued with broken fine wires/soldered connections/dodgy stepper motors.

    Re: Stepperworld FET 4 problem

    John,

Control of FETs is via a UCN5804B.

I have replaced the "Y" control/switch as I thought it was suspect.

I have the blurb that they sent with the kit. Among it is a diagram of the board...

    Re: Stepperworld FET 4 problem

    109jb,

    I hear what you're saying.

I'm only persisting with the FET4 as it's what I've got my money sunk into. So I'm trying to make the most of it. It seems I've "bought a turkey" but, at...

    Stepperworld FET 4 problem

I bought a Stepperworld FET 4 kit with Sanyo Denki motors (50 oz) a few years back and have recently took the conversion of my RF30 mill more seriously.

The problem is that I've got no response...
  12. Re: Dead Y output on stepperworld fet 4 board and stepper motor failures

Well I've now replaced the dead stepper motor on/off switch but the results are the same...............a dead Y axis output port.

I am now chasing the likelihood of it being a pin allocation for...

  15. Re: Dead Y output on stepperworld fet 4 board and stepper motor failures

    damianpoirier,

    thanks for your comments.

  18. Stepperworld FET 4 wiring need Help please.
