  1. Re: Hyundai Hit-8S error: 9207 tailspindle not in position

In your first picture with the top access cover open, it's definitely missing two proximity sensors from there, that is what should be plugged into the two yellow plugs. I can't remember the part...

Re: Hyyndai Hit 15S Turret does not index

I'll try to remember to take some photos or a video when I'm back in the workshop next week. I'll also have a look to see if that error is listed in the manual & what it recommends to fix it if it's...

Re: Hyyndai Hit 15S Turret does not index

The turret should move out, rotate & then pull back in again & lock up. I'd have to look up that error code in the manual when I get a chance to see what it is. In the center of the turret is a cap...
  4. Re: Hyundai Hit-8S error: 9207 tailspindle not in position

Been a while since I looked at an 8S lathe. But on the larger 15s or 18s lathes there is two sets of promixity switches in the tailstock. One set of switches is for the tailstock sleeve position, the...

    Re: hit 15s manual (840c)

I've got access to a 15S & also an 18S manual at work. But sadly we are on 4 weeks lockdown due to this Virus, so it'll be a while before I'm allowed to leave the house & go to work

Re: HiT 15s Spindle won't go over 70 rpm

Been a very long time since any of our had a parts catcher on them but try M48/49 or M90/91. Possible also to use the bar feeder calls depending on installation so could also be M68/69

Re: HiT 15s Spindle won't go over 70 rpm

After you reload the parameter's, you have to set the maximum speed, from memory it defaults to about 50-100rpm. On a 15s I think it should be 4800rpm(Check the max speed of your chuck). You set the...

Re: Hyundai Hit 15s - tailstock problem

Tailstock being used manually or automatic should have the body move forward onto the stop(Using switch or M11), then the tailstock quill should be extended into the part(Using switch or m31). It...
  11. Re: Hyundai Hit-18s with siemens 840c ERROR 9208 Spindle not in set range.

Pretty sure our 15s & 18s lathes are about the same 5-10rpm ut at 1000rpm. You could always check the reading against a tacho & make sure that it's running at the same rpm the control thinks its...
  12. Re: Siemens 840C on a '96 Hyundai HiT 30S.........Where do you even begin!?

I don't usually program like that for threading, I normally just use a G33. R24 is a positive value for external thread & negative for internal threads.

    R21,R22,R31,R32 are all absolute values....

  14. Re: Siemens 840C on a '96 Hyundai HiT 30S.........Where do you even begin!?

I can't say we've ever had a spindle knock at low rpm, we did have a problem where one of them wouldn't run faster than about 500rpm which from memory was one of motor contactors or something like...

  18. Re: Siemens 840C on a '96 Hyundai HiT 30S.........Where do you even begin!?

9V battery should be a lithium long life battery, easy to change & generally you'd do it with the power on, they should last about 3-5years. Our 15S started eating them & siemens told us it could be...

    Re: Bar puller programming?

The easiest way is between the M05 &M30 at the end of the MPF, insert the following:
    @100 K-5

The @100 command makes it return to the start of the program. The K-5 part tells it which line to...
