On our MX2000ST using the upper turret we use M code M170 to allow us to machine closer to the chuck
although it says the same code for the lower turret wherever you put it in a program or using...

Can anybody throw any light on why our MX2000ST Puma hangs when you enter M170 in a program on the lower Turret, it works fine when entered on the upper turret?

Can you program the parts catcher to collect parts anywhere or does it rely on mechanical stops?

Does that mean for the mx2000st the only place you can catch parts is when the sub spindle is in home position?

Yes it hits the jaws of the sub chuck!

Can anybody give me advice on how to set the parts catcher position.
At the moment using M310 the parts catcher hits the jaws of the right hand chuck
