I hope someone can help with this, I had a jerking Y axis and after searching the forums most people advised me to change the brushes and blow the carbon out the servo motor, that didnt help this...
I have the same problem but blowing the carbon out and replacing the brushes didnt help so i changed the Servo motor and now i have a different problem, I cant get the machine to move over the...
Hi everyone..sorry for only replying now...the problem was actualy the brushes in the servo motors..they where to short ( they were worn out) the x axis works like a dream.
Where could i find any info on stripping the motors and can it not be the encoders because when the machine starts up and moves over the reference points it moves very smoothly...only after its ready...

I hope someone can help me, when the x axis starts moving it is making jerking movement and the result is a very bad finish, when it reahces the specified point it is as if it jumps over and back...
Hi Rob...did that, my machine dosnt reverse, but how can it anyway because there is a switch that dtermin forward and reverse, so one will have to change the swith to rverse first.
What do you mean by a alarm list?

What a pity that a so called clever guy has to give such a stupid reply.......
So why do they say in Programing manual that it can be done, it is actualy on of the 6 quick programing cycles?...i managed to programe the downward tapping cycle by following the manual sample but...
LLoyd do you actualy know anything about this machine or any machining?? ...the machine must be programed to move at the right pitch..to reverse the spoindle will just strip or brake the whole job!!

Thanks Mark i will have a look at the manuals, i now have 2 off these machines cause they are very sturdy and relaiable but im having iretating problems with one of them, for the last week my Z axis...
Well reason number 1 is that the TNC145 is getting old and it gives some problems every now and then and to repair those controls are impossible here in South Africa..the Heidehain agents just say...
Do you mean ..do a search on CNC retrofit?...I dont have a spesifick budget, i just want valeu for money and the same ease off use s the TNC 145

Im from South Africa and have my Bridgeport now for 3 months and im overaul very happy with the machine but because the previos owner did not look after the machine i get wierd problems...
