the port is changed on the I/O Parameters page under the tools hard key, menu soft key, I/O PARA
I have to add one more time, my greatest gratitude, it was a simple fix but here is what im after, flawless execution, looking in the posted code its following a 2d cut path perfectly, with my M01...
I have one more question, did I select the right tool path for what I described my need was? I've never dabbled in the 3 axis features of my software package.... I see the tool path on the screen...
Nice bro, that's what I wanted but everytime I tried to change or even add boundary it would crash, I also was thinking of boundary wrong, as in what I didn't want cut.
The part was modeled in...
I'll do some searching, thanks. I'm using mach3 so they already may have a usable 2axis post. I think all the bobcad 2axis post does it put in M01 stops before Z moves, and after looking at a file I...
I don't want a roughing and finish, just one op is needed. I wasn't aware of a 2 axis post for fusion but I'll do some some looking, thanks.
im having some issues getting a usable toolpath. I need to machine both bevels on the included part, in Fusion it does exactly what I want using a 3d contour tool path. However I need to use BobCam,...
Omg what a dummy haha

Second video has been uploaded, showing the semi finished master square, thanks for looking
hey guys, here is a link to my channel, check it out, couple videos uploaded so far, more to come, please like, subscribe and comment thanks
I was wondering about that, probably just run in with a 1/8th em manually to take em out, or run a profile around it with tiny stepovers

Well there was a problem, the controller (mach3) did not appreciate the large file or something, I've done other adaptive roughing strategies and never had issue on the machine, but this actually...
ok so I went back to reread robs earlier posts, pretty much cause I knew, or rather thought to myself I know these guys know what they are talking about, so I went into bobcad to recreate the issue,...
Okay, I will clarify my terminology.
At first I had the single Machine Setup, with a feature of pocketing, with a profile finish. Then I added another feature, pocket only, then another feature,...
I did the same, with two files, each side of the part. I didn't use so many setups on the other side, I think I was a little gunshy on the first part, the second side I put a second pocket strategy...
I get it, I've set up other parts with multiple features in one setup, also multiple strategies of pocket in one setup, BUT the particular pocket which mills down and leaves the TOP not sides of the...
So rob, the real key would be to be able to mirror everything to do the other side without having to do all the machine setups again, or rather having to go through all the parameters. Is there...
here is the non tool pathed one
the part files are named wrong in the zip, but look at the one with paths and create the first op, which machines a pocket pretty much like the shape of the square, at .200 deep, with a fillet,...
It's all good rob, I was able to make it work right lol, albeit I little more time consuming. I can post a copy of the file in both tool path and non tool path forms. And if you run the sim you will...
The tool path shown is not in question, it just happen to be visable when I screenshot, those are the very last operations and not the same pockets I was asking about
so here is the pictures, now the strut and its fillet are what I think was causing the issue, I machine the large face down to leave the top of the strut exposed, same operations as the others I...
Thanks rob, I'll show a picture here in a bit showing what I was doing, and like I said it would not allow me to move glmy profile finish up to the second op, it was kinda strange
No really, the pocket is the same pocket for both pockets, it's actually 3 ops, leaving a floor for a ball nose to cut, the first op leaves .1875 on the wall, full depth, the second cuts full width...
And yes I did try and change the machining order but it still won't do as I want, so I'm guessing maybe I should run each pocket as a new machine setup rather than have several part program files to...
Oh and btw I'm only 2 axis controlled so it's a pain for the different depths of pocket for roughing and finish moves is the reason I want it to machine a certain way
So I got some tool paths ready, for a pocket where I left stock for a ball nose, it worked perfect in the sim, then I started another pocket on the same part at a different depth and did the same,...
nvm, I got the part rotated 90 deg on the z axis of rotation, exactly what I needed
