    Re: Welded DIY just because.

Rack and pinion are cheaper but you can get some cheap Ballscrews as well which are still better than a Rack and pinion

    Re: Welded DIY just because.

It's not a big enough machine to be worrying about screws whipping if he has a Ballscrew of 20mm dia or bigger would be fine

The leadscrews would be a waste of time installing them, with what you...
  3. Re: Huanyang Inverter + Next Wave Automation CNC

The next wave I believe is a bad idea, you need a Relay to switch FOR and DCM on the VFD Drive if the Next wave has a spare output that could turn a Relay On /Off that is all you need I don't see a...

    Re: Spindle selection

You are not going to run a 4.5Kw spindle very well on your house power supply, to size a spindle look at it's output amps then double that for what the VFD Drive will need on the input supply, so say...
  7. Re: My CNC 3 Axis machine stops working "shutting down" after few minutes

You have a VFD Programing Problem or a 0-10v supply that is not correct if your spindle starts at 18,000

Tell us what your spindle is and the VFD Drive that way we have something starting point

    Re: Sidewinder CNC

Back in 2007 the machines where very badly built I repaired 3 of these machines that he could not fix for his customers, at that time would not recommend anyone to buy them, that was 12 years ago...
  9. Re: E-Stop getting triggered when interpolating circles

Can you do a photo of how you have connected the shields, yes the 1617 have a lot of uncontrolled noise being a brush motor, as a test run the program without the spindle running no cutter in the...
  10. Re: E-Stop getting triggered when interpolating circles

You could add a Ferrite Choke on you USB cable it may or may not help it does sound like you have a noise problem how do you have your spindle wired this is important to be done correct, do you have...
  11. Re: Haas mill and lathe overvolt power problems

You are running single phase 240v so the center wire is not meant to have any power, yes you could change the jumper as you may be getting an inrush that is causing the alarm

    There may be 2 power...

Re: Chinese 2.2kw spindle burned out?

You are not likely to have any VFD Drive problems running at 50Hz / 60Hz unless you wire something really badly that could cause a short circuit

If you damage a cheap VFD Drive some are...
  13. Re: Haas mill and lathe overvolt power problems

Yes does sound strange for them both to have the same problem, does look like it could be a power supply problem

Re: Chinese 2.2kw spindle burned out?

Does not matter it is just a coil with a wire at each end, Each Coil /Winding pair you have to number them 1-4 is ( 1 ) coil pair 2-5 and 3-6 are the numbers for each coil pair once you have them...
  15. Re: Combo spindle atc bt30 3kw max 600hz 18krpm + VFD 4kw + 6pcs holder NBT30 ER25

Nice but to many Kw @5.5Kw for single phase power
  16. Re: Haas mill and lathe overvolt power problems

No not for a overvoltage fault your photo only of the wires coming in that is important

Check that the power supply is configured correct for the voltage you are using
  17. Re: Haas mill and lathe overvolt power problems

Take a photo of how you have the supply wired, I doubt that you have 110v all NA has 120v /240v single phase

Re: VFD Trouble, Can't Find Manual

Yes sometimes the label will say that but it may have a voltage multiplier 120 / 220 built in you would have to ask the supplier / seller, if it is 220/240v then you would have to rewire your system...

Re: Dmm Servo Spindle Setup Mach 3

Most usually use the 1.8Kw motor which is 3000 max anything below 1Kw would not be much good as a spindle motor
