    Spend this weekend on machining the main block of the head. The head now has been mounted on the column and i have tested to see if the servo is strong enough to move the head without counterweight....

    There is a servo that will spin the spindle. so every rpm from 0 to 12krpm is possible including positional movements. So i think this build is definitely not classified as a router.

    Yes the head is made out of two pieces. The gap between the 2 parts will be epoxy filled same as i gone tram my column.

    Those holes where only there to hold the steel bars inside the mold during casting. I now screwed in a grub screw and poor just on top of it.

    This weekend made the mold for the column, this week i want to wax it and put the PVA coating on and then try to have it casted on Thursday and if all goes well i can have it baked on Sunday already....

    Yes it will be powering a bt30 spindle which is limited to 6000rpm but maybe in the future i will change the spindle to higher rpm.
