Hello everyone,
I have started building a CNC based on commercially available epoxy grout ( 3 part ), the output looks okay and no cracking or stuff so far. Finished the Y-Axis

Hello Everyone,
I'm currently using k-flop with k-step and able to init. the axis/system, confi. the home button, trajectory !
i want to fix the machine co-ordinates,something like in mach3...
It's SAHIL,
Thanks Tom, the reason i asked for amperage was 2.5Amp peak current consumption was mentioned in documentation of K-Flop.
Hello everyone,
I have finished testing my K-Flop, K-Step, power supply, motors and want to build everything into a nice cabinet, need help/advice on the grounding of P.S, boards etc.
here are...
nice spindle
yes you are right, i all ready have omron limit switches, 1HP spindle motor/drive, stepper motor drives 4-axis (250watt capable on each axis). Even i'm worried about the ballscrew and the spindle...
yes 3 to 4 months provided every thing goes well without a hitch. But this is the only option i got and i'm still looking for a functional machine, finding this itself took couple of months....

hi
well these are just the bear machines, provided these can be rebuilt ( ball screws, guide ways and spindle) to functioning spec. I can add servo motors or larges stepper motors and use...

Hello everyone,
Today i came across two Deckel FP4A models and in talks with the machine dealer. Want to convert it to cnc using K-Flop and K-stepper along with 4Nm-6Nm Bi-Polar motors. Please see...
that's a nice machine thewho, i'm interested in knowing what size stepper motors you have any Spec would be nice and what kind of travel speeds are you getting ? by the way how much would that saddle...
yes that might be a problem as the drive max. outs at 3Ax45V = 135watt, may be i should try a servo approach . Luckily i got the steppers for 1week free trail and drives off ebay for 12...

Actually i calculated that i need 2.315Nm torque from the motor (1.5x safety) at 180IPM (again 1.5x safety) rapids with a linear force of 515.6lb (1.5x safety) these values are the max with 1.5x...
Hello everyone,
Nice thread and good development, i'm building a cnc with nema34 steppers but thinking of making a small less than 200watt servo drives (pure-analog). Here is my idea how about...
update, i have observed that motor gets little hot after 35min of testing/running so used a LM335 temp.-sensor/voltmeter i had and measured the temp. after running the motor for 1hour20min in 1/4...
well, i can use 1/16th mode but the drive gets there by moving the phases on both the rising and falling edges of the CLK signal for a total of two steps per cycle (which is not true micro stepping)...
pictures
thanks for the link James, today i hocked up the motor and tested with Mach3, drive was set to 2.867amps/phase, drive input voltage 27.5volts and in 1/4th or 800 steps mode.(P.S is rated for 27.5V@3A...

AMCI : Tech Tutorials : Stepper Motor Drivers - RMS vs Peak Current
Hello everyone,
I'm building a cnc machine and have STK672-080 based drives ( PEAK 3.5amp and 3amp with heat-sink @ 45volts). I have gone through the forum and found various tips, documents,...
what about shipment time ? is it under 1 week ?
thanks
sahil
hello james
what if one has a high inductance motor(13mH), current 2amps/phase and uses high voltages like 80-100volts to increase motor rpm = higher IPM (travel-cnc), can linistepper be used at...

hi guys
was doing some Google searching on alternates to screw drive mechanism and came across these stuff (amazing things) :) does anyone know how much they cost and the best part is these can...
no problem rally looking forward for your help
walbac i have decided go for hiwin linear guides
thanks
sahil
hello rally
can you suggest some specs one the heavy rail n ball screw ?? what are u using ?
yes i was also thinking of going with servos may be 200 watt once ?
thanks
