well after some colorful words and a lot of head scratching i have come up with this fix. i think it is better as i did not like how close the hole was to the outsides and the way the grain runs...

Well got some spare cash and time this week so got the bolts to fix the sides and leg units to the torsion box bed.
i also put the 18mm spoil board on top, it's only screwed down around the sides...
not that hard to do and i had them for free.. also i can get 3.3v, 5v,-5v, -12v, 12v, 24v, 36v, and others in between.
