    Re: Long shot...

Thanks, John. I figured it was a long shot. I'll tear into it sometime when I'm bored as I've substituted a C11G bob in place of the C23.

I still need to mount all my components and get them in...

    Re: Long shot...

I was hoping for the full board schematics but I may try, with the help of the block diagrams, to trace these offending circuits. I figure I'll need to pull and test individual components.

    Long shot...

Does anyone have the schematics for the C23 bob? I've emailed Arturo and await a reply.

I want to try to troubleshoot my ailing C23 and figure out why pins 1 and 16 are not on speaking terms with...

    Re: C23 board relays

Update; I ordered a C11G bob which arrived today. I plugged my Smoothstepper into it, fired up Mach3 and.......everything works. I never touched the setting in Mach. I wired the VFD into it,...

Being a glutton for punishment I messed around with this thing again. I reinstalled Mach, told the smooth stepper how to behave, pulled every chip off the C23 board and re-seated them while putting...

    Re: C23 board relays

Well, I think this C23 is under demonic possession. One relay seems to be dead while the other refuses to take commands. I then noticed that while running the spindle motor the pin 14 LED was...

    Re: C23 board relays

Digging a little deeper, I shut the board down and applied 5v directly to the coils of each relay. The relay assigned to pin 16 does switch, the other relay appears to be dead. Though the pin 16...

    C23 board relays

I'm trying to activate the relays on my c23 bob with smooth stepper to handle the run and cw/ccw functions of my VFD using Mach3. In spindle setup I have M3 set to output 1, M4 as output 2. These...

    Re: Coolant system upgrades

I still poke my head in here on occasion. My Mikini has been idle for a couple of years with the usual failures of anything electrical. I'm about to pull the trigger on a full MachMotion retrofit...

Though I haven't yet had time to get going on my Mik-Allen conversion I had decided to forego the MPG. I found it easier to just use the keyboard.

Allen, if you're going to scrap the Mikini motor and plan to machine the pulley just lop it off or drill out the motor shaft. You could also try heating the pulley and pressing it off.

Looks good, Allen. I'm following closely as I may head down the same path (or something similar). Heck, I've considered using a 3hp router motor with speed control just to get chips flying.
