Saint,
Your build is the issue. You will need to contact the support department at 727-489-0003 to update to the newer build. That file was created in V29. It will be the same general steps I gave...
Saint,
Here is the part file with some sample toolpath on it using 3x pro. I created the pocket by creating a plane out of the base extrude of the pocket, rotating the plane 3 degrees and then...
Saint,
I see no reason why not, the router itself can handle 3x motion. What toolpaths do you have available for V29? Do you have 3x pro toolpaths, or just standard?
Saint,
The neck pocket, the bottom of the pocket has a slope of 3 Degrees if I am understanding correctly, is this correct? I will attach an example of this shape here shortly using the 3x pro...
tchapman1000,
Give us a call tomorrow and we can go over this with. Just let the receptionist know that I sent you from the forums.
The buttons inside the rectangular box in this picture are used for orienting the stock axis. So if you click on X Direction and choose the straight at the bottom, it will auto rotate the stock to be...
Fayette,
I understand your frustration, but the software you specified has not been supported for quite some time, and has been retired. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.
VPL,
The subprogram output is controlled by a toggle in the software, not the post processor. This may also be what is causing the other issues you specified. Please follow the steps below to...
Patgo,
Unfortunately, there will be no way to register or use older registration codes for that version of the software.
Fayette,
We no longer support or register those versions. More than likely, we would be able to create a post processor for the machine even in the newer software, as generally, machines that old...
VPL,
What controller are you using?
Art,
If you want a quick overview, then you can go to Help/Getting Started and do one of the 2 3 axis tutorials that are built directly into the software.
Art,
You will see in your post processor, which can be opened with an application such as notepad, that after the tool call, there will be a line that says n,next_tool_with_prefix. If you remove...
Shred,
I do apologize for any miscommunication.
Macro,
Some controls do support 3,4, and 5 axis tool compensation.
BobCAD-CAM still registers V23,V24, and V25. We do not provide support for the product in regards to general issues or posting, but we will still assist with issues like crashing.
Bazzer,
The software does not support outputting 3x Cutter comp. If you are using it to finish a flat wall, then you will need to use profile rough or profile finish.
bcnu,
The issue is likely because your outer shape has gaps in it. This will prevent it from functioning correctly, as it won't notice the outer shape is water tight.
bcnu,
Can you attach a part file to be looked at. It is hard to say without looking at the selected geometry on the toolpath.
rc,
Right-click on a toolbar and select modify. You can then add a button to an existing toolbar.
Paul,
Here is the OEM post that was available for V23.
If you are using a 32-bit system, please extract the contents of the zip folder to:
C:\Program Files\BobCAD-CAM\BobCAD-CAM V23\Posts\Mill...
Burr,
The setting in the picture is the global setting, which you can define if you want the control panel to auto-select,use integrated by default, or use high performance by default.
ger,
I believe it varies by manufacturers. Some will give the option, others won't.
Burr,
There is no need to disable at the bios, it can be done through the nvidia control panel as a global setting. Please look at the attached picture for reference.

Burr,
I put in a request for future versions to automatically set the graphics to the high performance card.
Tchapman,
It looks like you have a newer system, and as someone mentioned earlier, they usually come with 2 video outputs, 1 being the built in intel chipset, which is attached to the processor,...
Drake,
You should be able to see an area for selecting lead in/out. I have attached a picture showing what it looks like, its in the new version, but same general area in V25.

Spock,
Here is the post I used.
Spock,
From the Fadal Manual:
N3 G83 G99 R0+.1 Z-1.2 F10. Q.1 P.02 X-.50 Y-.35
From BobCAD:
G83 G98 Z-.7002 R0+.1 Q.25 P.02 F.8342
The two match exactly, just in a slightly different...
Jwillow,
There is no standalone utility that can do the conversion. You will have to continue doing it in the V17 version.
