Thanks for the help.
I've actually managed to sort it out in Fusion360.
It's a bit rough, but it works.
Thanks again.

Thanks. I'll give that a go in the morning.
Hi I'm trying to generate G code for my 3040 to make a "bit fan".
I have G-code for a 1/16" bit, but I want to use a better 2mm cutter I already have.
The place that supplied the 1/16 bit code also...
I can't help with the upgrade request, but would REALLY like to know how you got yours responding to the PWM control.
I have the exact same controller setup as the OP, but I can't get mine to work.
Is it just on/off computer control you want? While it has digital inhibit, it looks to me like the speed control on that drive is a manual potentiometer input.
LOL. Sorry about that. I originally found that image on the ServoMagnetics web site a few years ago, and was trying to find it again.
It was bigger, and started in the stopped state (or running...
The purpose of the hall sensors is to tell the controller which segment of the revolution the rotor is in.
The controller then turns on the coils needed to turn the rotor to the next segment.
When...
Don't know. The diagram I refered to is in here:

It looks to me like there's a 5V digital sensor system, but you'd need to see the actual motor specs...
The circuit layout I've seen for the SX3 indicates it has hall sensors.
The Z axis has more travel on the SX3.
I'm looking into buying a machine, and have narrowed my choices to these:
Marchant Dice MDL-2-TR (This is hardware, motors, controller, software, etc.)...
The disk has a gallery of builders' photos.
Some of them show variations from the plans.
