  1. Re: Any get their kit, WHEN FLA said they would?

    Hard to understand, picture?
  2. Re: Any get their kit, WHEN FLA said they would?

What stop blocks on a Saturn 2 are mounted on round tubing??? All mine are on the 3 inch square rail.
  3. Re: Thanks for the Thread!! Made my decision on which company. NOT FLA...

Correct David, he has been in business for a number of years. In spite of a couple of disgruntled users here and one getting his money back in full. Granted he did not get paid for his time or gas...

Off the FLA website "We have shipped out over 1,000 CNC Machines to customers so far over eight years. Those machines are being used by people to support their dream business, build dream projects,...
  5. Re: Thanks for the Thread!! Made my decision on which company. NOT FLA...

Interesting…. but according to the internet FLA has over 500 machines sold. So 6 out of 500 is what percentage?

    Re: 110v VFD's. Any issues?

As long as your power source is coming from the same house or building Main breaker, your on the same source. Electrical wiring 101. A neutral wire connected or not has nothing to do with equipment...
  8. Building CNC Control Panels to Comply with NEC and NFPA 79

There has been some discussion on here about power sources, grounding and wiring control panels. NEC Section 670 (675) covers the Industrial Machine area pretty well, also the Code requirements for...

    Re: 110v VFD's. Any issues?

My shop is Home shop, not commercial :) . I just do things the Right way. Repeating again, there is NO NEC requirement limiting different power sources to a machine, only requirement that is each...

How does a Neutral grounded conductor prevent ground loops? You should always cap off un-used wiring.

    Re: 110v VFD's. Any issues?

WTF are you talking about? The control panel is 120 volts, the VFD panel requires 240 volts, two separate panels?

So your going to install a 240 volt single phase welder in your shop, you would...

    Re: 110v VFD's. Any issues?

If your not using 120 vac or have a need why waste money running a 4 wire circuit just to blank it off?
If someday you need 120 volts just run a circuit and be done with it?
    I have 3 or 4 240 volt...

Re: GME's New 80/20 CNC Build - My Design

Good news Gary. It seems like SOP to add a line filter when using those Chinese drives.
  14. Re: 2.2kw 24000rpm Huanyang Spindle won't exceed 12000rpm

Ahh If you take a close look at my picture out of the official publication not a "snip" from who knows where, you will note the top row has Logic inputs and the bottom row has Analog inputs…. once...
  15. Re: 2.2kw 24000rpm Huanyang Spindle won't exceed 12000rpm

PS its not Logic but analog 0-10 vdc and its high impedance. Most of the big boy drives I have installed in the way past were either 0-10 vdc or 4-20 ma control signal. We installed Toshiba or A-B...
  16. Re: 2.2kw 24000rpm Huanyang Spindle won't exceed 12000rpm

Dittos, DVM meters can not damage anything unless you do not know what your doing.

His drive works on the keypad as it drives it up to 400 Hz and the motor to 24,000 rpm. So the problem ls...
  17. Re: 2.2kw 24000rpm Huanyang Spindle won't exceed 12000rpm

Mach3 outputs a PWM signal, its converted to 0-10 vdc by an add on board, usually. PWM is a frequency. The motor speed can also be controlled by Step and Direction signals.

    Control of spindle...

A call to Hypertherm might help. Jim Colt at onetime was online and worked for Hypertherm and knew about PlasmaCam who in spite of all the completion from China and other US venders are still being...

    Re: Size for ground wires

Talking about machine or equipment grounds for safety and to drain off EMI. DC power supply negative or black wires are not the same as they carry current. The equipment ground is for safety and...
  20. Re: 2.2kw 24000rpm Huanyang Spindle won't exceed 12000rpm

Some drives present a lower (or higher) impedance to the signal voltage 0-10 vdc than others, thats why controller boards have some adjustment in that output signal range. Remember the mach 3...

    Re: Size for ground wires

The equipment grounding wire is required by electrical code for safety, and sized to the main power input source, the EMI drain is a bonus. Yes your shields should be grounded to this ground as...

    Re: Size for ground wires

If your running them on 3 phase, yes but your input to the VFD would still be greater than 8 amps. Running a single phase 230 volt line to the VFD you will need at least 20 amps input line to line...
