The VFD should run the spindle normally but due to making up the 3rd leg you have reduced max HP before it draws max AMP's
You do not want constant Torque VFD thats designed for specific loads
Where did you hook in when testing? Your 1h is a little different from my E. But did you test from the control pc or by the monitor
It was so highly successful it's been dropped from the face of the Earth.
Mine were so bad you didn't question it. The T portion was more of a knife edge. The head nodded forward around .020.
I did my Z axis. I got lucky and found NOS on Ebay and got it for 350. You have to take some time and learn the THK nomenclature for the part numbers and what they mean so you can see whats...
Awesome thanks for the info.
Never dawned on me I could have x and y home at the same time. Mines Z X Y in that order.
Which VM16 variant? Pics? I'm rolling around the idea of a second machine and I'm keeping an eye on the VM16's
I can't find where i had the maintenance section of the Partner series, but they recommend something along the lines of Mobile XHP 222 I believe.
Do you have tools? Tool holders? Vise?
When I cleaned mine I didn't reseal and haven't had any issues. Ymmv.
I didn't stand on the fiberglass but if you run the table forward your can stand on the base to get the nooks and crannies...
It was the M29 - I just deleted that line and the test sailed though perfectly.
Thanks for the sample.
Looks like its probably the M29 that the post is outputting. Its a pulsed output and reading the manual a little closer, everything locks up until the corresponding input...
awsome thanks
I'd like to wire up an air blast and the probe project I finally finished.
Anyone know the specification on the pins used in the locking connectors on the computer box?
I just push over RS232 currently -- I bought these two things from amazon and use my laptop and the program EdytorNC (free software)
...
i stopped using it more problem than not
Most of what's showing is the type of stuff that shows on my screen when it's executing canned cycles. This is in cycle when it got stuck
The two lines N12 and N13 are the only program gcode...
Hopefully I'll have some time to play around with this some more, must have been a change in the control between Cent 5 and Cent 6.
Thanks for the follow-up, interesting finding
Feed rate in the program is 0.0312 (feed rate should be in pitch according to the manual) and this is confirmed working on Cent 7
You would need to post a sample section of the code thats being output for any troubleshooting to occur. I have not threadmilled on the milltronics. Hopefully someone has an example of something...
The post is fine, theres a couple guys that grabbed it from the HSM Post forum (autodesk) using it for production (including rigid tapping)
My problems are with a 26 year old machine being old.
Doing any sort of tap op royally screws the machine. G84 or G88 and the machine sticks at that line.
Heres the control display for the G84 N12 and N13 are from the program. The rest are the...
Maybe not all sorted, but its homing correctly again.
Doing any sort of tap op royally screws the machine up though. G84 or G88 and the machine sticks at that line. Estop or halt and tool...
Think I got it all sorted
Left the machine not estopped overnight, not my normal practice. But I warmed it up in the morning and everythings been going well.
Experimented with G88 and the machine hung above the part...
I did my drawbar washers with a kit sportybob sent me. Assuming you can get the motor and cover off out of the way (its heavy) Its fairly easy. Just take pictures to make sure you get everything...
