Beautiful work Widget
Thank you for your service to our service men/woman. (clapping hands)
Looks clean in there
After my last post, I thought, "Hey, I've got a small machine shop in the garage, go fix it."
So, I did. I punched the thread insert out.... drilled a new set of holes.... Pressed the thread...
Nice...... That looks like a nice blower. How smooth does it run? any vibration?
Looking Good,
I mounted 2 breakout boards(db9 and db25) to the back of my box.
I have a question........ The db25 board is mounted right above a screw insert used to bolt the control box together. There is a...
Bert answered the email already. He has always been quick to respond to emails.
I'm the one who is slow (or lazy, some would say :) )
One Love,
Thanks arie,
I hadn't thought about using plastic standoffs, but that should work just fine.
Cheers,
I was looking at one of my breakout boards and those mounting holes are silver. So, should my gold pads be silver?
I sent a email to Bert with the pics attached.
One Love,
I got my eding cnc board out of the box today to measure the mounting holes. I was going to mount the board in a aluminum box, but noticed a few spot of interest.
One of the mounting holes had a...
Nicely Done!
Sounds like good advice
and
Thank you.
Leadshine pdf was taking their listed current and multiplied it by 1.414 to get peak current to run half-step or full-step.
After reading the Leadshine stepper motor pdf, I got confused again. lol
They rate their motors in RMS and calculate for peak current if you are using the motors in half-step or full-step.
I...
Yeah, I read that thread a couple of times. I also read a few posts that felt differently.
But, I think I see what the(my) confusion is. At full-step the Peak and RMS is the same...........
My package from Automation Technology came today.
I'm going to replace the Blue Box with these(Mx3660 and aluminum box)
I'll strip the Blue Box down and use it for my Lathe control box.
While...
Most of the threads that I've read have had posts stating both ways..... some say motors are rated peak current and others say they're rated at RMS current.
But. I've came across a few sites that...
In the similar threads: I saw a thread for, "Help!!! Peak or RMS current".
My earlier search didn't bring that up... Oh well.
I'm not sure the question got answered or not, but someone did say...
I just bought a Leadshine MX3660 from Automation Technology inc. It has dip switches to adjust the drivers' current and step.
The chart in the manual, gives settings for both Peak and rms current....
It sounded fun until you brought up the boring things I'd forgot about. :)
Sounds like fun.
I'd like to make some money for new projects too.
Cheers,
Nicely done! I like the controls on the outside of the room.
When I first saw the earlier photo of the room(while building the room), I saw the computer and monitor in front of the machine. I...
I believe I understand how to use the signal from pin16 on a system with a Breakout Board that looks for that signal.
But, I was thinking I read that a Breakout board wasn't needed for the Eding cpu...
Howdy,
World Cups is over, time to get back to building a controller. (congrats to my .NL friends (3rd place) )
If I use a Gecko G540 4-axis stepper drives, it needs the Charge Pump(watch dog)...
