Thanks for the reply and the detailed info.
With your information I should be able to get things moving forward from this point.
You are quite right, there are very few FADAL's in my area of...
Thanks for all the detailed information Rodney, you've certainly gone to a lot of effort and I appreciate it!
I have read through the manuals and had a look at the repair kits, but the manuals do...
Hello.
I have a FADAL 3016 with the hi/lo belts and changers.
I am getting air escaping out of the manifold exhaust. When I change from lo to hi (or vice versa) the air escapes out of the other...
Hi. I have revisited this post as I am still searching for the information listed in the OP.
Again wondering if anyone can tell me the bolt hole pattern of the nuts and the measurements/thread of...
Thanks very much for the replies.
Yes, quite right, I disconnected the chiller lines many years ago and havent looked back.
So I am looking for the specs so that I can source some solid ones...
Hello.
I would like to replace the ballscrews on a Fadal 3016 metric DC machine.
I dont want/need specialised ball screws

Hi there.
I'm up in Cairns in FNQ and have removed cards, resolvers, literally everything electronic from a FADAL 3016 which I am retrofitting.
It is a time consuming process, but it leaves me...
Yes, sure did.
Separated the 7-10 with no change.
Eproms checked and all pins OK.
Am going through the motions of swapping out 1010 cards. Problem is that this is my only 1010-5, the others are 1010-4's, so...
Thanks again Rodney.
The amp was not touched, When the machine starts the A axis does turn about 15 degrees then throws up the errors above. I guess it goes beyond the threshold where it "thinks"...
Rodney, thanks for the reply. This is interesting for a few reasons.
Firstly because it was the original 1010-5 card from the A axis sent away for repair and then returned, and although there was...
Hi All.
And for anyone reading through this, thanks in advance, this is driving me nuts...
DC FADAL 3016.
So, the A axis (VH65) errors out. (I can't actually remember what the messages were,...
Hi all.
I have a mix of 1010-4 and 1010-5 axis cards in my 1400-4 Fadal. These two versions of the 1010 boards can obviously operate together on a 1400-4 system so, now to my question...

Hello Gents.
I know this is a little time later, but how did things pan out with this?
I'm in the same situation with a 3016 and if that software found its way into an emailable format it would...
Thanks so much for that info!!
Based on that information, can I ask what happens when a G84.1 appears without a G84.2 preceeding it?
I know you mentioned that the G84.2 is not necessary, so does...
Hi.
I have a FADAL 3016 with a 10k spindle and rigid tap.
If I use a G 84.1, in format 2, where S and F need to be in harmony to set the thread pitch of the tap, does it need an M49 beforehand to...
All great replies, thanks very much!
mflux_gamblej this is the way I have set it up in the past. Having forgotten my original measurement, I was just hoping there might be an easier way for next...
Anyone?
Hello,
Cannot find reference to this question in any manual, but is there a standard height from a datum on the VH 65 to the centre of rotation? Eg table height or top of case to centre of rotary?...
Hi.
There is probably a really simple answer to this, but is it possible to import an image, say an outline or a line art image, to then create a tool path with to cut into a part.
Basically want...
Hi.
This from the XR5 features page:
"April 2012:
New XR5 Machining Strategies for 4 Axis Simultaneous"
I can't seem to find any further info on this upgrade. Anyone know about this or have...
Many thanks for the info! :rainfro:
I'll digest those manuals over the next little while.
Cheers,
Tre.
Actually in the interim, I've been trying to get my brain out of reverse and into drive :)
Could it be that this toolpath cannot be done as a 4 axis toolpath?? But then the more I think about it, I...
Hmmm, I have a Fadal with a 4th axis (on A). All other 4 axis work posts fine (includes other 4 axis contour profiles and sequential mill etc...). I've attached a file which explains what I mean. In...
Andy, those other amps you're messing with at the moment, are they for DC machines and could you please advise their name/model or source??
Thanks kindly!
Its a DC machine, and the Glentek AMP has 4568-4201 (C) on it.
A sticker says the model is GA4568EA-1HP.
This is on the A axis (VH65).
All the other AMP cards are 4568-4201 (E) 's.
The CL pot...
Thanks Andy.
Appreciate your feedback.
Just as a matter of interest, could you please advise which pot adjusts the overall output of the amp card? Thanks.
Also how do you personally measure the...
Thanks Andy.
I've balanced for 0 at slide hold in Jog mode. I'll see how that goes. Think now the thing to do is run parts and see how the old girl handles it.
Thanks again!
Cheers,
Tre.
Thanks Andy.
This is EXACTLY the sort of info I was after and is the precise reason why this forum is such a fantastic resource!!!
Thanks again for the length and detail of your reply.
