I have Win7 and would like to keep this OS since I have so much software on this machine I'd have to upgrade/repurchase if I go to a newer OS.
Is there a way to save my actual installer or .exe...
I just upgraded to an i 7 machine after 6 years with my old machine and I need to transfer my two version licenses over. I still have access to the old machine. Do I deauthorize the old versions?

Is there a work around for this?
I'm trying to select a series of points to center drill (also tried engrave). At first it was crashing, now it's at least continuing to run, but geometry isn't...
I have a shape I'd like to add to a current program. Please PM me and I can give details.
I run a small business and I'd like to incorporate a simple 3D roughing opperation into one of my drawings...
I've done a tiny bit of 3D with the disc that came with BC. But I'd call myself inexperienced at best. I'd like to get better with 3D CAD/CAM eventually.
Any recommendations on where to look as...
Is there a way to do it like I would any other pocketing routine for a 1/4" hole? I can already pocket and offset pocket out cut it. That works fine but I'd like to have it be a helical plunge...
I have several occasions where I'm milling circles and I'd like to do it in a cork screw / helical plunge type fashion.
Is there a (an easy) way to do this in BobCAD?
Alternatively... From...
That works! Thanks. but I'm still a little concerned that something weird is happening. The curved line seems to jump even with the wireframe slider all the way up. But maybe it is just a visual...
I have a point that appears to be on the curved line in this drawing (attached) but it's not on the line itself since this is actually a curve if you look at it from the side view (YZ Plane???...
The part will definitely have a dedicated fixture plate. One thing I'm a little out on is how to make the template to drill the part to match the dowel pins since I'd have to make the drilling...
I'm in a bit of a predicament. I've got a CNC table where the longest axis is only 28 inches and I have a part that's about 34" in length.
What can I do in this case?
Ok... I think I figured it out. I clicked measure and it looks like the Geometry (imported from Corel) is on different Z heights. Don't know why this is.
Any ideas how to fix this?
EDIT:...
I can't for the life of me figure out why "Trim one" or any other trim I've tried isn't working on this corner (see the attached file made in V23). Any ideas what's happening here?
There are a few cases where it'd be nice to continue a diagonal line in the direction it's going. Is this possible?
So would that mean that the toolpath would be smoother with less stops between shapes? i.e. a smoother motion?
Thanks Gunner, I'm an Air Gunner myself (assuming that's what your username means), had a few tuned springers and pcp's. Good cheap fun. Quieter and a little safer than the powder burners.
As far...
I have some CAD that was all splines (had to explode to seperate the geometry). So being somewhat new to CAD (BobCAD is my first real CAD experience) I am not familiar with what they are or what...
I am not a fan of the pressure either. It seems like they've backed off a little bit from my end. That's been a good thing.
In my case V23 has worked well. V24 has some major bugs on my machine....
SBC, I'm not sure I understand that. Any other ways on getting that fillet in there.
I've noticed this a few times. I've sort of overlooked it and just re-drew in the geometry but it's starting to cost some time now (loosing things that have had lots of editing done on them). Is...
Ok, I used Break "Entity". That's what I usually use for doing what I was trying to do but for some reason it wasn't working in this case.
EDIT: Break Entity does work... not sure what was...
That's it, how'd you do that?
I have this file (attached dxf) and I'd like to put ears on the main shape in order to have tabs for location. But if I put the ears/tabs in I can't connect it to the main shape. Any ideas how to do...
That's what I was trying to do. But my bobcad version won't let me open it because it was saved in a newer version than my 24 (what it's telling me anyways). That's one bother about BC's software....
I have this neck for a bass that I'd like a rounded end on (see the attached JPG for details). How would I do this?
DXF of the square end attached. Would like to make the end rounded.
As a side...
Related, is there a good way to go from a continuous geometry (as in that dxf above) into the actual lines and curves? Say I'd like to select just one piece of a curve or one straight line before it...
Yeah something weird going on there. I just tried it in V23 and it saves perfectly. Seems like it may be a bug to me. Not a big deal if there's a work around.
HEre's what I'm talking about. This is a pretty rough Corel pdf import that was originally based on a photo. It's the outer shape I'm concerned about and dimensions don't matter much, just the...
I've got a few drawings that could benefit from smoother profiles. Picture an outline where you've deleted a bunch of nodes and now you have lots of straight lines approximating curves. Picture a...
I've got one with an old DOS GCode interface (by techno). Can I go to LinuxCNC with this?
Here is the controller ISA Card interface:...
