Form the picture it looks like as if the original source of the drawing was a bitmap type and got vectorized but with a much too low resolution.
It could even be a bad vector to vector format...

i would say, there was too much debris reaching the lens during past cuts.
This could be caused by too less air pressure supplied to the nozzle system or to long clean cycles during operations....

I would say this is the matter of a combination of different things:

Just a thought:

Do you have other files loaded onto the laser controller as well ?
Such a laser controller has a very limited amount of memory.
Bitmap graphics needs a lot of memory, for a test...

Another option is to export to a "dxf" file, this should be readable by nearly every CNC CAM program even by AutoLaser.

Before exporting, make sure you do not have filled surfaces, only lines,...

The bigger problem i see at this picture is, that there is nothing connected to the limit switch connector ( on the right side of the pcb). Hopefully the signals of this connector are also available...
