I'd also like info on the older 2713 mister. Bijur has been no help in this regard.
With mine, it has a leaky *I think* regulator and would like to see how to fix this. A parts break-down would...
Hey guys. Curious if anyone has used Spin 10 (instead of the Mobil turbine oil) in the old Bijur spindle misters of yesteryear (late 80s). Mainly for cost reasons.
Any thoughts on this from anyone...
Hey guys. I have a 15" square pallet with 8 parts nested on to it in all the same orientation. I can either duplicate patterns and have one fixture offset to cut them all or have an individual work...
Thanks for the reply!
Since posting, the only ratings in fuses I can get higher than the factory 5A is 6.3A and 10A. I also contacted Dan over at ITS and although he didn't see an issue as well,...
I recently found out when purchasing an eBay Gusher coolant pump for my 4020 that the same part number (1P3-L) could be a pump either with a start-up capacitor mounted externally on the casing, or...
Yessir! I've been down that deadend before. It's like watching a movie without seeing the ending.
Update on this deal. After playing around with it, I have found a solution. I looked at the alignment of the spindle to the carousel and found that I had to drop the Z (by the resolver) .064" to get...
I agree! They are built Sherman tanks. Slow and clunky, but steady as a rock. Very workable for me.
And yes...stuck with slow tool changing, but for me in what I do with it? Saving 10 seconds...
Decent ideas to try. Staggering tools like that does slow down the re-load process (which is what I was trying to optimize). Going to a new T1 pocket might work, but it might not work when new tools...
Hey guys. I have a 4020. I've usually had the tool platter loaded completely...using all 21 pockets when running jobs. No issue.
Recently, I changed up my workflow a bit and only use the tools for...
Hey guys. Scratching my head on this one...need some help.
I've got a '90 4020 that suddenly developed an ATC issue. Was in the middle of a program, goes to do a tool change...machine stops...
It was my understanding that the above is a Format 1 method of calling up subs....with Format 2 using the M98 to call the sub...not with L words as you have indicated. Is this correct?
Hmm...I'm not sure about that one....nor even fully understand what you just said.
My thoughts would have it go like this:
L100
<Insert Program #1 here>
M17
L200
<Insert Program #2 here>...
Hey guys. I hope I have the correct forum for this question.
I have three complete and running programs. I want to combine these into one large program.
It needs to run like this:
Program...
That could very well be. I never did like the idea of wacking away to get this job done.
Great idea buddy. I'll see what kind of American ingenuity can be dreamt up on this. All you guys gave me...
That's what I thought it would do...but another machinist told me in order to maintain proper diameter of the reamer, is to do it that way.
lol I never did say it was supposed to be easy...but there are many ways to skin the same cat. :)
Oh yes...who subscribes to the method of reaming a hole...stopping the spindle at the...
That sounds fine...but I have to use what I have hundreds of already...dowel pins that are .125. :)
It also sounds like quite a bit of work (freezing and heating for example) in a production...
Hey guys. Wanted to see what some of you think of this and how it can be done possibly better.
I have (4) holes that are drilled and reamed .0003 undersized for a hardened .125 dowel pin. The pin...
Thanks a bunch for all you guys' input on this! It's helped me a lot.
To answer the question about dwell, I have that parameter setting in my software. I have it set pretty well and have it down...
I have no clue on its max RPM as it came with the machine. I do know it's a big ol' honker of a holder. It could double practically as a beater stick.
I'm happy at the speed it currently uses....
Nice! I'm looking forward to using a spiral flute tap. Never have. The machine has always seen the plain Jane straight flute bottoming taps for this op.
Yessir!
Does it matter if it's a taper, plug, or bottoming tap in this case? I'm thinking bottoming.
BTW...I didn't mean to type "3/16"...it is "3/8".
Long day.
Hey guys. I need help with this. Not used to using taps in a CNC machine...only by hand with my trusty can of Tapmagic through the years.
Recommendations for the best tap to use in this...
The problem seems to be confined to one fixture and program? Other fixtures and programs don't have this problem?
Yes. Confined to two fixtures I have that are close together. Other fixtures of...
Absolute awesomeness buddy. I will give Yoda a call. He sounds really helpful and accommodating as you had said. Hopefully he has some answers (or at least a better track for me to follow).
...
lol Now that was funny!
I have done more tests on this issue last night.
I can now confirm it's not just leaving the machine off overnight that will bring back an incorrect Y axis...it can also...
Thanks buddy. I'm at absolute wits end. I've drained my knowledge base!
I don't know Neil. I'm very new to this forum.
