Are you using cutter comp? You have to have a lead in.
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
You have to program a lead in. Perpendicular or at an angle or maybe even arc. You cant come in straight. It compensates in the first move.

There are springs that connect both x axis way covers under the table. I had to pull the cover, unhook the springs and hook them to a welding rod to keep them from shooting under the table.

You can go to utilities and info to find out what version of c6 is on it. Sounds like it has been upgraded.
I had to replace the ballscrew bearings on my vm 17 when I got it. 7204 angular contact...
get a usb floppy drive, thats what i did.
if you are talking about the angular contact bearings, then they are probably 7204 bearings and can be had from ebay for cheap

What does your spindle override on the screen say? I have a lathe that defaults to 0% on start up regardless of the switch setting. I have to adjust it 1 click to get the screen to match the switch....
Csm is a good servo drive, very crisp and responsive. Did you call out a spindle speed? S1000 in mdi?

Go into parameters enter the password, I think it is under control make sure "use full dos names" is set to yes. No dnc necessary.
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Do you have full dos names turned on in parameters. You should be able to load a .tap from your cad cam.
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Are you using fastcam or cadcam?
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Why do you even need the p program? Where are you transferring from?
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
You only need air to open the gripper. Though the machine may not reset if there is no air, but you can change that in the parameters.

To get the big pulley off take out the 2 set screws, and put one in the middle hole and tighten to pull the hub out of the center of the pulley. It's a taper lock.

Call sportybob he sells the card readers, and can help you set it up. The control will not recognize a card bigger than 2gb unless it is partitioned into 2gb sections

On my knee mill they go into the round connector then to the contractor, then to the servo drive.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190119/587266ccea3f340b0c24a524b03561f8.jpg
