We recently acquired 2 H300's with 15M controls. Nice machines but I believe the previous owner may have reduced the speed of rotation of the B axis on both of them. We also have a couple H400's same...
I was able to obtain all the manuals but don't know how to get them in digital form or the cost. If there is a specific page or section I can send a pic if that would help.
Problem solved. It was a bad SVP board
Hi. Does anyone know who services older Okumas with OSP3000 and 5000 controls in Northeastern Pennsylvania near Scranton? Thanks
Hi,
We just got in an LB15 with 5000L-G control. It powers up ok but we get an Alarm 65. Pic attached. Can anyone give a hint how to troubleshoot this?
Thanks,
Drake
Problem solved. What I did was to install an earlier graphics driver.
Hi, I have Intel Core (TM) i5-2410M CPU @2.30 GHZ
6.00 GB Ram
Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000
Memory 1696 MB
Hope that helps.

I have an annoying problem and hope I can define it so that it makes sense.
V30 or V25. Doesn't matter.
When I go to drag a window over the Geometry/drawing the lines disappear temporarily. At the...
Thanks Al. Very good vid of thread milling. However lol. How can I mill a Tapered thread with a single tooth Woodruff type tool. Maybe just use a milling strategy with a feed of pitch of thread?...
Concerning either V25 or V30 are there any tutorials on thread milling pipe threads? Either multi tooth tools or single tooth. Thanks.
Not a rant! Don't know how to change that.
Lately our customers are requiring 100% Domestic Stainless Steel for some of their products. Standard grades like 304 and 316. We deal with about 6 stainless suppliers and only rarely is it available...
Please jog my memory. Years ago I used a tool which held an 1/8" drill to dimple witness holes in boiler plate. The drill rotated to drill the hole but when the "cage" touched the blank the depth had...
For simple flat engraving of letters and numbers is there any difference in using 2 axis versus 3 axis engraving in V25?
Thanks.
Sean you've been very helpful. As soon as I picked a parallel lead in of 1 inch the G41 and "D" were put where I'm used to seeing them. Many thanks.
Drake
Thanks very much Rob. I followed your instructions and next I will prove out at the shop. Here is a screenshot showing the "D" and "G41"
Simple question that I can't seem to find an answer to.
V25
I'm profiling a part and I turn system comp off and Machine comp G41 on. Why doesn't a "D" and a G41 appear in the program after I post...
Deadly Kitten....Sorry but it's not a 300 control. We have those too and what you say is correct. I'm talking about earlier 3000 controls.
It was confirmed to me recently that it is possible to...
I'm missing something when I program a part for 4 axis. The machine is a green screen LC-20 5000 control. Can someone post an example? I've never had a problem with the 3000 control or the 5020. It's...
Thank you for your detailed answer however I'm referring to OSP 3000 controls such are found on 1980 model years.
I had a document from that era which explains what I'm asking. That is to index...
That would be fine if I had Solidworks, but these sldprt files are files I've received from a customer. I'm now able to convert them with Onshape so I'm good now. Thanks.
Rob
I did set up an account on Onshape. I was then able to import my sldprt file. At that point I could have actually made modifications to it or used it as is. I chose to use as is and exported it...
Thanks Nick, I will ask them.
When I open it in eDrawings and try to save as, the closest file that will open in Bob Cad is a stl file. But I can't work with it, for instance to do a wire frame and measure what the redii are for...
Can you tell me how to convert a sldprt file to iges or step. In doing some research I understand it can be done, but it's a little confusing to me as to how. Thanks
I don't know where to post this so here goes. On every lathe we have, mostly Okumas, there is a chip conveyor. Some are Mayfran some Hennig and some Japanese. It doesn't matter. After years and years...
I've been in business with a CNC production shop in the states for over 40 years. In that time 99% of the drawings we've received have had dimensions in inches. Now we're starting to get metric...

Hi!
We are running a LC-20 4 axis with a 5000 control. It is equipped with a OSR-20 Okuma Robot. We do have an instruction manual, a parts manual, and an alarm list. What we don't have is a...
What we did was disconnected the fan behind this panel. We will diagnose it further to know if the fan is good or not. What is interesting is the 905 alarm has nothing to do with oil only that the...
