Hiya Jazz,
After a bit of file searching i found em.
cheers,
Qtronpowerson.
note: This forum wont upload RAR files!
i got mine made by JLCPCB, China.
I have a spare if U like :)
Hiya Stroheim,
technically it shouldn't matter which breakout board is used, but the Nicholai 67 breakout adapter makes it fairly fool-proof.
And, U get the luxury job of crimping all those JST...
Hiya Stroheim, Yep , solder the jumpers. Nicholai 67 is better than the Oil Major's, if that's what U mean, cos it is the same format as the Mega.(physical shape).
The hand encoder is wired to the...
Very nice work, Bruce, have saved pics. will pm you :)
U must be pleased at progress made.
I esp like that idea of 3D printing LS cover. All looks like it belongs too:)
Thanks , yeah I looked up the UK ebay Joystick, that versions not on Banggood, at least not in that desc.
Its only 10 mm longer than this one which is non latching ...
Thanks very much Leslie, - appreciate your efforts. Where are u based?
Thanks so much Stroheim,
So it looks like the 7c version has a joystick also..where did you obtain yours from?
What are the button functions depicted?
I fixed the Rapid thing - small joystick...
Hiya Stroheim,
as u know the joystick is used to set limits, and initiate the selected function. EG sphere, which is only a rough cut, is started by holding the joystick towards the X axis- front...
Thankyou for your time Bruce.
The pot is fine, & hi quality type too. On screen speeds are selectable, & smoothly too.
Double checked the rapid switch, all OK.
Part of the problem was darn 5volt...
Bruce! Hi, so glad U still around!
Thankyou sooo much for the user manual translation.
i took note of "I recommend setting the parameter to 2-4,"
Could you please tell me what "Bonding...
Hi Appolaris, how are U?
Hope you are still watching this thread..
Just wanted to let U know preliminary tests seem to indicate all is OK.
Earlier you indicated Bruce was translating the manual,...
Hiya Appolaris, am awaiting some parts from China, this 'Novel' Coronavirus seems to be impacting deliveries - a bit frustarting, but understandable, altho I hear its not as contagious as the Flu!...
Yes i am VERY grateful for all, more than u could know. If i had Olegs email i' d arrange to assist financially.
Able to do electronics workbench testing soon and when servo stepper drivers arrive...
google at it again!?!
maybe tricky for google, or maybe Oleg's words imprecise, i dunno but thankyou again.
BTW, is the middle, unused position of the AXIS switch, as per cct diagram meant as a...
THANKS Appolaris,
I definitely building the 7e2 as my updated picture above is all about that so yes will be able to cut internal threads - thanks for that & the link too.
Getting closer now but...
hiya Bruce,
i meant to comment on this post re the Tacho.
Not tested it, but see https://www.codrey.com/arduino-projects/arduino-tachometer/
Not needed as the encoder supplies the Tach via the...
Appolaris gone quiet.
Bruce gone quiet.. all quiet! Anyone home?!!
Here is my update pic of the controller, i had a mystery button unlabelled - the Select one, on the top panel, its part of the...
Hi Appolaris,
thanks for the answer re 4000 count encoder being ok at 1500 RPM max.
My PM disappeared:- Would a 400 PPR encoder be too coarse or cause a "gritty" thread?
Also, on Oleg's circuit...
THANKYOU again Appolaris for your time, yes will sus out pins.
Now I know what those words are on the pcb:)
Was given a used professional hi spec'd encoder, need to ensure it works, but is worth...
Hi.Appolaris,
Glad ur helping Bruce, I guess I may need bits of the code comments in English too so that I can tweak those calculation parts to get it working with my setup.
I'm sure Bruce will...
Hi Bruce, hope u r OK, been quiet on this thread!
U interested in the nicholai67 adapter board.. i got some spares.
Sorry Appolaris havent gone thru it yet, but cant remember seeing a circuit diagram only a PCB layout.
Will look tonight, after work to see if there is anything needing defining.
Mounted a cog on a...
Thankyou appolaris, will check tonight.
Hi again Appolaris,
Is there a published schematic or circuit diagram for the Nicholai67 adapter board, - i am a little uncertain about some of the connections .
Interesting too is that the text on...
Yes agree. Thanks re no cross-slide, lite, didnt know,
Cheers,
Addendum. MOQ of 5 very nice Nikolai67 adapter boards just arrived, JLCPCB, China Cheap!
boards look excellent, as always.
I can...
OK, glad u clarified, much appreciated.
Hi Bruce, I knew I should have left it to U to clarify!
Thanks for helping out. Clearly, I had misinterpreted Asynchronous turning.
That groove cutting with Chuck stationary has come in handy...
Thankyou for translation, was yellowed text so didnt realise you had translated. Much appreciated.
Appears I led U astray re asynchronous, Bowcoastie put it right.
Yes am interested in the lite...
Synchronous is thread cutting mode,
but on a lathe equipped with power feed or auto feed, that mode is simply for moving the carriage or cross-slide, (but not both at once)
For consistent cutting...
