  1. Re: Heidenhain LC series Encoder Wiring

I'm just going to get a different encoder for the axis I was going to use the Siemens one for. Doesn't look like there's a good way of converting the signal.
  2. Re: Heidenhain LC series Encoder Wiring

Here's what I got from Heidenhain. It looks like the 183 and 185 shouldn't be a problem but I'm not sure about the 495S. It looks like I'd need some kind of converter. Anyone know about that?
  3. Re: Heidenhain LC series Encoder Wiring

Thanks Al, I actually just heard back from them. They had some questions and will hopefully get back to me with the cables and pinouts shortly. I'll post the info once I get it for anyone else who...
  4. Heidenhain LC series Encoder Wiring

I have 3 LC series encoders that all seem to use the same connector, LC 183, LC 185 and a LC495S. I've been trying to find the cables and a pinout for them, but haven't had any luck at all. The...

Re: ESS, Mach4, SGZH Servo Spindle Motor

Craig, Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the ESS was this limited, thanks for enlightening me. I think I'm going to need to look for a different motion control that will work with the rest of...

Re: ESS, Mach4, SGZH Servo Spindle Motor

Craig, thanks for the suggestion for the AEIC7272, I'll look into it.
As for the encoder, I assumed that ESS/Mach used the feedback for tapping, but I guess the driver must do that for it.

Re: ESS, Mach4, SGZH Servo Spindle Motor

Thanks for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I will need orientation for tapping and for my ATC. It will accept +/-10V input and Modbus. I'm using a C82 BOB, this setup actually:...

    Nesting in V34

Is nesting still available in V34? I don't have the option where it says it should be and I don't see it as a licensable module. I also can't find it on the website, other than where it shows where...

Re: Modifying POST for Magnaturn Lathe

OK, got some help and found out that 6005 needs to be changed from 2.0 to 1.0 when you change 1249 to r.
Pretty sure the attached post is good now.

    Output X as Radius???

I asked this in my other post, but I figured I'd make a new post just for this. My Southbend Magnaturn 1218 needs code where X is the radius. I made sure line 1249 is set to r, but it still outputs...

Re: MagnaTurn 1218 Manuals & Software?

I figured out that it wants FILE001.LNC as the format, but it wouldn't accept that until I saved a program from the control and copied my code into it. Seems weird, not sure what's going on there. ...

  28. Re: How do I move parts from an assembly file?

Well, I figured it out pretty much. You can use align axis to orient the parts correctly then use translate to move them individually to where I want them. It's not super easy, but it does work.
  29. How do I move parts from an assembly file?

I'm used to doing this in SolidWorks, but since they got rid of online licensing I can't use my work license at home any longer. I'm trying to do it in BobCAD, but I'm not sure how to do it. I need...
