Removing feed-thru punch from wood die board?

I'd like some advice on how to remove a broken feed-thru punch from a wood die board. The punches are only 1/16" thick so there's not much steel to press against when pressing it out. I'm new to...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

Yes, I agree but in my area it may be a slim chance of finding one with this expertise.

I sent a message to a soft start device manufacturer explaining the situation and asking for advice on...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

    I never ran it dry.
When I ordered the press they told me it would be a week extra time building it because they needed to special order a 110v motor. So either they don't know how to rewire a...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

I didn't check the motor temp.
The manufacturer now suggests I remove a solenoid in the pump (directional/check valve) to see if it helps, but I doubt that will so I'm not doing that.

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

As bad as the reputation is for chinese stuff I can't believe they would offer it in 110V if it was unworkable design. They mentioned early on that they have supplied presses with 110V before to...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

I didn't know there was a flywheel drag to consider, especially being only a 2 HP motor it didn't look like that would be an obstacle at 110V. Over that, sure 220V is a natural but who knew?

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

I figure they reduced the size of the motor by preserving the motor's inertia, keeping it up to speed using a flywheel. The hydraulic ram in the rear creates 20T of pressure, so if the ram diameter...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

The standard motor option was 220V single phase. As I said, because my garage doesn't have 220V and didn't want to expense of wiring it for 220v I asked them if they can put in a 110V motor, since...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

This is the way it came from the manufacturer, what you see here. The 2 pole breaker label doesn't give the amps, just says
    "400V
    50 hz
    6000V"
The 50 hz concerned me and the manufacturer did...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

Yes, the wires they use coming out of the breaker in the machine are green and red with no ground. They used a 3-part wire cable but the third is not used. I don't know if they use different colors...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

I had a reply from the chinese manufacturer tonight. Not much help there, says the current draw at start up is 13.6A which is not likely.

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

Yes, a single phase 2 HP. The press is from China and don't know what type motor it is, but I would think they chose a motor that would not have a problem spinning a flywheel on start up. There was...

Re: Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press

Since the garage had 110V and its just a 2HP motor I opted to just go with a 110v motor and not have the extra expense of rewiring it for 220V. I didn't count on the big amp draw though.

Tripping Breaker on New Clicker Press
