Just in case anyone ever has the same problem, the factory gave us the translated instructions on referencing the turret and this fixed everything.
Hi
I suspect a mechanical problem, was just wondering if someone can confirm, when the turret indicates it sometimes has this noise, it's also losing position.

Hi
On a Tornos ENC167.
I get an error 1324 (which translates to "Default Encoder Pin") when I try either G178 or M18, the spindles seem to synchronise but then after a few seconds this error...
Hi
I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to trouble shoot this problem, we've got one of our machines running, sort of, getting error 1300, which is a feeder fault, no stock in the feeder but...
If anyone has parameter backups for a 167 can you also please let me know, seems there were some problems and instead of getting the correct people out to fix the machines they tried to do it...
Hi
I was hoping someone could help me out with English manuals for the Tornos ENC 167 and SSF 226 Robobars...
I'm looking for whatever I can get(264 etc), so far a user was kind enough to send me...
Hi
Yes you can use Mach3 just fine on a hobby lathe, if you want to build something similar to the video you need to write a brain or something to switch from "spindle mode" to "Servo mode" on the...
USB Modbus Interface - Field of Cows
I agree, but from the standpoint of doing a DIY setup it's more simple to copy what they have there on a bridgeport than try and do anything as complex as the Okuma / G&L.
5m/min isn't slow for a hobby 6x machine imo.
I had a look at the spec's you are right the +-25 degree isn't enough to compete with 5 axis machines... I think Okuma is on the right path, but it should go with a full 5th table, the big advantage...
Thank you for your insight... was it really that good?
I understand the high static stiffness due to lack of guideways but it should still have poor dynamic stiffness due to the rigid joints without...
Sorry for digging up the old post... but what about chip management?
Hi
I posted this in the machsupport forum, if you want to give it a go. Try installing the trial of keyshot from KeyShot - Simple, fast, amazing rendering software for your 3D data., start keyshot...
I remember there used to be a thread here comparing BPT of different controllers, was it deleted? I can find references to it, but no links and can't find the thread itself.
EDIT found it.
I've seen worse, on the ad as well, how about this one:
CNC light Okuma,
5t control. R.16000 neg (Germiston)
Turns out it was a CNC lathe, not a light ;) I knew that, unfortunately the guy who...
From google: Mazak M3 lathe with Fanuc 20C control, manual $295... Another manual, wiring diagrams $98.
The ad was funny, "not working due to electrical problem" the pictures say there is a lot...
Hi
I'm thinking of buying one of these for a complete rebuild.
I would like to know if someone are familiar with these and can give some information on what spindle speed they used to have,...
Hi
I posted this in another thread, with a kflop and perhaps others you can wire feed hold in to work instantly. Mach3 through the printer port is too slow to be a "real" control anyways, you need...
I saw on the yahoo group, indeed with feedhold wired into kflop it can be done in hardware, instant like OEM machines and resume, this is great news! :)
After going through all those links I think I'll go with the kflop/kanalog setup, the response from them via email is fast and it looks like a good solution for older analog stuff. Thanks for the...
Thanks, any recommendation?
Eventually I want to change all 4 lathe's over, but I want to start with the easiest.
It's a Wasino Lenuc-1, Fanuc 6T control X and Z only, no turret (Gang tooling)...
I read on Machsoft that in 2010 ART figured out how to get some real-time performance on windows, not sure what that means for the future of Mach, when does V4 come out though and is there somewhere...
Thats no good I thought it would be okay since they are servo not stepper I'll investigate what needs to be done... no use having a machine that is slower and more jittery than a 5 or 6t... I...
Thank you for your response, it clears it up now about how the commands are sent.
I'm not yet 100% clear on the feedhold speedup you are talking about though, if the machine is at X0 Z200.(mm) and...
Hi
I was quite excited by the low price of Mach3, the large majority of boards and especially the ability to easily customize the interface, but then I read on here after a lot of searching of a...
I would find it odd if the machine just stops for no reason, with the alarm I know why, press reset button then carry on... On the older controls without absolute encoders you run into over travel on...
Hi
It's a factory option only for the robodrill.
You get other companies that also make direct drive 4th axis, but they are a bit more than the gear driven ones and you require some options on...
I'll for safety turn it off just before tapping and see. I had a talk with the new Fanuc rep, he seems more keen than the previous guy, I'm planning on getting a 4th axis in a few months so when they...
